Course Curriculum Overview

2

I chose this course cause I wanted to learn about the current industrial trends and learn more about green technologies. I tried for BSc Environmental science and environmental engineering but I was advised by my family members to take up a core paper first and then specialise in a particular field. Currently in our department there are 6 faculty members. And we follow flexi learning method where you get to choose the time, course & faculty. But the problem with our department is that since there are 6 members, you don't get much of a choice when it comes to selecting core subjects.

Placement Experience

4.5

From 7th/8th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There were some core companies for our department too but they didn't get placed in it. Yet there are many IT companies coming for placements and last year almost all the students in our department got place except one student due to on pending arrears. The on campus placement for our core course is average around 3-4 LPA. But it's high for IT departments.

Fees and Financial Aid

Well, I don't know anything in detail, but as far as our college is concerned, you should either be meritous or have some kind of great achievements to avail any type of scholarship or fee concessions. And getting one isn't just enough, you have to prove yourself you're consistent enough to maintain you grades, no arrear and your GPA>= 8.0 every semester The current fee for my college is 1.5-1.8 lacs per year but I currently lay only 60k. But I have to maintain my scores. Your fee hikes if fail to meet any one of the above mentioned criteria.

Campus Life

5

Well the annual and tech fest are awesome at our college we also have clubs for every department and conduct an event every month, and the winners of the events doesn't just get certificates but cash prizes or tech gadgets or something i.e. really useful for the students. The library is huge and exquisite in out college there is a library called SAIL library, it's a university library and anyone belonging to the university can come up for their reference study, they cannot borrow books there, but each stream has their own library set up in their college, which does not look exquisite but has every book and magazine we need study and you can borrow your books from there. Sports activities..I don't have much knowledge about it. As far as classrooms are concerned they are maintained really neat and are spacious. We have two buildings the Rectangular Block and Circular Block. The IT engineering streams are in CB where most classes happened to be air conditioned but I prefer RB more.

Admission

I came to the university via management quota Since i belonged to the OC category and the corona passed out batch didn't wait up for the counseling. I directly visited college for the admission before my board exam results and was given consession my college fee, I believe my 10th board mark and the Covid-19 we both a factor for fee concessions. But as the time passed by and the demand increased for the seat near counseling and on counseling, people with merit or money were given 1st prefrence as it is in every college.
