Entrance Preview
I gave lot of entrance exams like CAT, XAT, NMA and CET for pursuing my MBA. Though i did score fairly average in all the competitive exams. But i was selected by Welingkar on the basis of my XAT scorecard. In XAT i scored 89.7 percentileI opted for this college because it had a very good reputation. I interacted with a few seniors who were already pursuing MBA, they guided me. Also one of the prime reason was the proximity to my home.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course cirriculumn was very good covering all aspects of Management. There were varied subjects across 6 trimesters from all the streams like finance marketing and operatins. Also we had a few subjects from certain new streams like bussiness design, e bussiness, and other important subjects like vendanta and personal effectiveness for personality development. Also the project topics that we worked on really enhanced my development for those two years. So overall the circulumn was really very good.
Internships Opportunities
Yes i does. During our time lot of companies came for internship. Since i was in Marketing i will name a few companies like aditya birla, vodafone, ICICI prudential, ingersol rand, ac nielson etc. I have done my internship from ICICI Prudential. I got a stipend of Rs 15000 per month. Internship period was 3-4 months.The average stipend i think would be around 15000 only. Finance people usually got more stipend.
Placement Experience
The placements are really very good. During our batch we had almost 100% placements barring a few who opted out. Lot of companies had come. To name a few :1. Bank of India, 2. Union bank, 3. Idbi bank, 4. Infosys, 5. Patni, 6. Lodha, 7. Eclerx, 8. Nitco, 9. Thomas cook etc Average ctc for marketing : Rs 7 lakh pa approx.
College Events
Impact was a major event. Cricket competition involving all top B schools. I participated in it. Other lot of events used to happen. Also lot of film promotions happened. Deepika and saif had come to our college for the promotions of their movie aarakshan. Pratibha patil the then president of our country had come to our college for inauguration. The festival was indeed rocking. Also our parties were great. Had the time of our lives in the parties.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees is indeed expensive.Rs 3 lakh for 1 year. Means overall Rs 6 lakh, Also it was paid in 2 installments of 1.5 lakh each in a year. I personally found the fees to be on a higher side.Library fees was Rs 5000. Also initially i had paid a deposit of 2000 in the library which was refundable after you complete your course.

Seriously i have no idea about it because i have not availed any. Nor have i heard anything from my friends.
Campus Life
Campus life was indeed rocking.Gender ratio was equal for both girls n boys Have made lot of lifelong friends at the college. We are still in touch. Really enjoyed our college life. Most students were from a very rich background. The camaraderie was really very good with all of them. The hostel students were full of life. Many had come to study as well as enjoy.I liked their carefree attitude.
Hostel Facilities
I did not stay at hostel. But while visiting my friends at the hostel at Sion i found the hostel rooms quite nice. Sufficient enough for 2 persons with AC n net connection.But the bathrooms were shared on each floor which was a negetive point. The boys ho

Exam Structure
