Likes

The fest and culture of CET is awesome it is really up to IIT/NIT level
The affordability of pursuing the desired course is really good
The placement are also decent for a low cutoff college

Dislikes

The faculty for 1st year is really awful
The safety for girls in campus is not up to the mark
The hostel facilities are really poor for both boys and girls

Course Curriculum Overview

For 1st year the course of all branches are the same just shuffled in different semesters for different branches, The faculty were not that great because as of now we were taught by junior faculty. But from 2nd year the senior faculty who are from IIT/IISC/ISER etc reputed institutes take the classes.

Placement Experience

Placement in core branches is average overall but decent for a state government college which has a low cutoff The placement of civil branch was 5lakh per annum average with an highest package of around 24lakh per annum Placement in CS/IT is awesome.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is pretty decent for my branch it's just 32400 per year excluding the mess and hostel fees. For SSC branches i.e. IT/CS/BT/FT the fees is a bit higher around 76000 per year. The college also provides a scholarship of 10000. per year to some selected students.

Campus Life

The campus life is pretty decent, We have a lush green 100 acres campus located in Bhubaneswar city we can easily go to the main places in Bhubaneswar in a 10-15 minute ride. The fests are awesome and also the sports culture is pretty decent on the campus itself.

Admission

Through Jee's mains, The admission was done through Ojee counseling and is pretty easy. The admission process was Easy after counseling we have to go to college and give the documents. The cutoff was low for the civil branch about 195000 and for CS it was 50000.

Placements are definitely there for coaching centres in my branch. Many big and reputed coaching institutions like akash, byjus etc came for recruitment. More R & D comapnis can be included. the nterview process and the packages were decent for the role offered.

My first impression of the college I chose

Course Curriculum Overview:

The technical background and future influenced me to choose this course. The preparation for real-world applications or further academic pursuits are average. Theres no fair improvement needed in the course curriculum and teaching methods. The frequency of the exams are 2 sem exams and 4 quiz in class exams. The timings for sem exams are 3 hours while for quiz tests its 30 minutes. The difficulty level is average of all the exams

A Good University

First of all mainly because of the location it is situated. It is in the Captial Region. I got some seats in NIT-R but didn't go because the seats that i got is all 5 year course and i don't want to study for longer period of time. So the admission process is quite simple. I did apply for VSSUT Burla but could not clear the cutoff. Also i would like to add on this that i did a better job in choosing the seat here .
