Remarks
The college is quite disciplined but at the same time they don't focus on practical learning and extracurricular activities College is placed at a decent location students from most of the places come to learn We get to experience all kinds of cultures due to its diversity The college is quite old school follows tried and trusted methods doesn't dare to do something new nor does it encourages its students to do something exciting My overall experience is a mixed bag of good and average
Entrance Preview
I've written EAMCET to qualify for CSE I ended up at DCET by virtue of qualifying EAMCET with a viable rank They weren't any interviews Admissions were based on EAMCET rank I choose CSE as the computers, modern gadgets and smartphones always fascinated me
Course Curriculum Overview
I've written EAMCET to qualify for CSE There isn't that much focus on practical learning all the college cares about is marks in fact sometimes the faculty convert practical class(lab) to theory class As of now they're no research initiatives taken by DCET
Internships Opportunities
The college does provide internship Haven't experienced internship till now so can't comment on it Average stipend is ₹8k/month
Placement Experience
There's little to no placements and if they're there they offer very low salaries and most of the students just reject it About 5-10% students gets placed every year No major companies as of now have visited the campus The average package is ₹15k/month
College Events
No evnets and fests have been conducted as of now like I said earlier the college cares about marks only and nothing else
Fee Structure And Facilities
It's very affordable for me as i qualified as a convenor quota Student College fees is ₹60k But for me the fees get reimbursed due to state scholarship Kudos to KCR
Fees and Financial Aid
There's scholarship provided by government College doesn't provide any scholarship
Hostel Facilities
I don't reside in a hostel There aren't any hostel rooms designated by DCET
Alumni/Alumna
There's no student-alumni interaction
Exam Structure
We've 12 internal exams altogether and 3 lab internals and that's very tiring add to that 6 exams in 3 consecutive days it's just hectic It definitely isn't a chill culture They should deploy a method in which both students and faculty are benefited
Faculty
The faculty here is qualified and experienced Some of them even has PhD in their respective subjects but some has just done engineering Some of the faculty members teach good not great and some of them are just worse in short it's a mix of highs and lows They aren't very interactive The standard of teaching overall is mediocre at its best most of them teach us good and some are just plain awful at teaching The faculty here mostly focuses on marks and on creativity Creativity is that thing which helps in the long run not marks
