PLACEMENTS CAN BE IMPROVED BY ADDING MORE STAFF.

Course Curriculum Overview

Experienced faculty, with minimum qualification is M.Tech. The Faculty-student ratio is 1:30. The General teaching methods are used like ppt/case study etc. MSTs are taken 2-3 times in a semester, and are of average difficulty level.

Internships Opportunities

Most companies from the IT sectors offer internships with and without a stipend as we have 6-week training after the 4th and 6th sem in our B.Tech program. These trainings are project-based, some of the companies offer job letters on student performance if he/she will join the company after their degree.

Placement Experience

Campus placements are average in our college, companies from the Chandigarh region and the banking sector are there for placement drives. The average package is 2.5 lpa to 5 lpa. Final-year students with no backlog are eligible for placements. I got placed in jio after completing my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

My fees during the course 2018-2022 are 65000/ year excluding exam fees which are around 2000/sem. I am a day scholar, so I never opt for a hostel, the hostel fee is around 60000/year including hostel and mess. Colleges provide scholarships under different schemes.

Campus Life

The Fresher party is conducted in a college auditorium in the month of September, it's all fun activities. The library has a good stock of books with publishers from Indian and foreign authors. The classroom has general facilities. College lack in extracurricular activities, and only one sport meets in a year.

Admission

I got admission through a management seat in B.Tech electronics and communication engineering leet (2nd year). I fill out the application form/ deposit fees in online mode. Very cooperative faculty/staff. The overall experience at college is good and got placed in jio as an rf engineer.

Interview Experience

I got admission through a management quota seat in B.Tech ECE lateral program, it's a general process, and no such gd or other interview round happen. I complete all the processes through online mode including fee deposit.

Good campus life with decent academics

Placement Experience:

Placement are decent.Many companies visit the campus,but getting a good package depends on your skills and performance.Teh university also provides training support. Some companies like Deloitte,nexity consulting,Bigbasket,zepto etc visited are campus.

Life at Chandigarh University A CSE Student

Placement Experience:

As a BE Computer Science student at Chandigarh University, placements are decent but depend a lot on individual skills. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and most of the placement process happens in the 7th and 8th semesters. Many companies visit the campus every year like Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some startups as well. There are a good number of offers made, especially from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Cognizant. The highest package claimed by the university goes very high, even above 40 LPA, but those are for a very small number of students. Realistically, the average package for CSE students is around 5 to 7 LPA. Mass recruiters usually offer packages between 3 to 5 LPA. Around 70 to 80 percent of students get placed if they are consistent with coding and preparation. Those who depend only on college studies may find it harder due to high competition. The university also provides training for aptitude, coding tests and interviews which helps in preparation. After completing my degree, my plan is to get placed in a good product based company. At the same time, I am also focusing on improving my coding skills and working on projects so that I can aim for better opportunities or even higher studies if needed.

Placement Experience:

I exactly don't know but after 4 th or 5 th students are eligible for internship and placements. Generally in 7th semester 90 percent students grab their internship. Many companies visit on campus placement like Capgemini, Amazon, Infosys, TCS, Microsoft and many more. Highest package offered is 64 LPA by Microsoft and lowest was 4 LPA. Almost 90 percent students get placed by 8th semister. I also want to go to a MAANG company after getting my degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) I want to go in construction industry so i chose this field. 2) Currently our college curriculum is updated so its relevant i will say around 70 to 80% . 3) For improvement Faculties should be brought from all over india as professors here are only concentrated from ludhiana itself. and labs are very old it should be upgraded. 5) In a semester there are 2 monthly exams and one end semester exam. 6) As far as difficuly level of exam is concerned it is not much difficult if someone solved PYQ thoroughly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am interested in computer science so I choose this course to learn programing how the code works in computer. Student ratio is 22 in class. Teacher are well qulified and there teaching method is easy to understand. There two term exam in 6 months and these exam is not difficult
