Likes

The thing I liked most is the regularity of classes.
Faculties are also regular in taking classes and also provide assistance for preparing for various government exams
The environment of the college is good for studying.

Dislikes

Very less training and assistance seminars take place.
Placements are very bad. Only few companies visit the campus and that too provide very low salary

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty-student ratio is okay. There are about 40-60 students in each branch l and there are separate teachers for separate subjects. Most of the faculties are M.Tech and some of them have completed their PHD. Exams take place quite regularly.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is moderate. The fee is around 80k every year. Apart from that if you opt for a hostel you need to pay some extra money. The college provides assistance for e- Kalyan scholarship provided by the Jharkhand government. The placement record is very bad. Only a few companies visit to offer jobs

Campus Life

Fests started to take place last year 2022. The name of the fest is Ullas. Apart from that annual sports take place in the month of February every year. As of now, there is no social groups or club in college.

Admission

The college takes admission on the basis of jee mains marks through Jharkhand combined counselling. However, you can directly visit the college's admission cell and take admission. I took admission by directly visiting the college and filling out the application form

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate the course curriculum decent because it cover the basic engineering concepts that made me choose this course and it prepare us okay for real-world or higher study, but still more practical work and updated teaching method needed, and exams come mostly every semester with some internals which are moderate tough but manageable with regular study. There are some teachers who teach very well and have good teaching methods.

A Real Student Experience at DEC

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course curriculum is okay and the basics are covered well, which is one reason I choose this branch, but some subjects feel outdated and not fully connected to real industry work. It prepare us for further studies more than practical jobs. Exams come every semester with internals in between, difficulty is moderate but few papers become tricky. I think more practical topics, updated labs and better teaching methods will make the curriculum more useful...

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

According to my perspective or point of view students initiate preparing for placement cells in 3rd year ( 5th semester). The highest package of our college is 14 LPA And average package is 3.4 LPA. Approx 72 %students got placed in different different companies like tcs, wipro, accenture etc.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

A Comprehensive Journey

Placement Experience:

One of my colleges best features is its placements program, which offers fantastic chances for students to launch their carrers. In the fifth and sixth semesters, students are prepared with aptitude training sessions, group discussions, and resume construction. About 85% of qualified pupils were placed during the previoes school year. Compared to core engieering fields, placements rates were marginally higher in IT branches.
