Course Curriculum Overview

I chose CS with artificial intelligence and data science specialisation. I chose it because I feel it is new and of high importance. Though there are many many students in MIT they have an equally large number of faculty members. In my experience they have been some teachers really supportive and with a lot of knowledge and some are really strict. The college provides a calendar every year and all the exams take place exactly according to that calendar.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 300000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are comparatively higher than other colleges around. It is 50% in the first semester and 50% in the second one. The cut-offs for scholarship varies according to the course of your choice. I did not get any scholarship though.

Campus Life

There are different fests that MIT conducts one of which is aarohan. The Library is on 4 floors and the availability of books is great. The classroom has all the required amenities. There are many sports and extra curriculars like mit cultural or csi

Admission

I got in through mht cet but you can also get in through other exams like Jee or MIT's meet examination. The cut-offs are accordingly. All the details are on MIT'S official website. Including the details of reservation benefits. Though there aren't many reserved seats in MIT. I feel the meet exam is very easy compared to Jee and Cet and not very intelligent students also get courses like CS through this exam so I feel its difficulty or cutoff should be increased.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus.
