What Students Say

Likes

the faculty teaching was good and easily understandable.
the campus life completed so soon which we have enjoyed very much through learning new things, playing etc.

Dislikes

the classrooms and washrooms are not always cleaned.
the lab was also not so proper some computers does not work.
there are no proper infrastructure like fans, tables, benches, board etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have chosen Computer science and engineering. it has more feature scope for getting jobs in companies so I joined in cse course. the faculty in the college was too good. Their explanation can be easily understood.

Internships Opportunities

There are not many internships available in college and there was not much stipend. some internships do not provide stipends and also the course knowledge. The few internships were also good but don't provide much knowledge.

Placement Experience

From 6th semester the students become eligible for campus placements. There are many companies visiting the college for placements nearly 300 students are placed through campus placements. the highest package was 7lpa and the average is 2lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure was different for management and counseling. the fees are so hard to pay at that time for that course. there is no scholarship for me. the financial assistance is also too low in the college.

Campus Life

Life on campus is so wonderful and beautiful. there are many books in the library to study. the campus is totally surrounded by plants and trees so that the campus always has cool air. There are extracurricular activities on the campus like keeping competitions at the state-level district levels in badminton, cricket, volleyball, etc.

Admission

I did not take any entrance exams for Btech colleges. I directly choose the college through my inter marks. the suitable college for my marks was the only one the other colleges providing admission through money due to the course and marks of my inter.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate my curriculum 2.5 out of 5 stars.The syllabus covers the core subjects very well but it follows the old tradition with limited industry visits,It can be improved by adding more focusing on real world applications

Placement Experience:

From 3 -1 only students become eligible for campus placement and the companies visited for our college was Jpmorgan,google,microsoft,Infosys capgemini tcs etc.. The highest package in our college was 54 lpa from Microsoft and average packages were 5-10lpa the percentage of getting placements by students is 75% and my plans after getting the degree is to get a good placement in a MNC's.

My campus life and experience

Placement Experience:

Until know i got some info among the placements and internships is that yes, this college is providing campus placements good as some of the recent companies were Infosys, Capgemini,and other companies drive has been conducted in the college for the 4rth years. So the placements are good here no worrys too. But the LPA is less a bit like in the past years as the software industry is getting more hard to get jobs.

There are many companies costing the campus for recruitement like Accenture ,Infosys , keka , Accenture , infor etc and many other startup . They mostly consider students from Cse background but even allow others if they have skills . Accenture and cognisant will hire many students and there pay would be around 5 lakh per year for service roles . If they take for other roles then the salary is more 60-70% people get placed , some prefer doing masters even though they are placed

Vaagdevi College is Versatile!!

State Entrance score is mandatory as 60% in 12th for general students is enough to qualify. However, rankers between 2000-4000 get to study here as our college seats get filled quite fast due to its affordability.
