Course Curriculum Overview

The course and faculty is good . In the first year generally the course is same for all students of all branches. From second year onwards the course changes according to the branch. The midsem exams were conducted in 2 months and end sem exams were conducted for 5 months. Almost 4 teachers are assigned for a class.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 86000 per year

Placement Experience

3.5

Mainly all the students get ready to go for placement drive in 3rd year. Students get to do their internship in 3rd year only. College provides placements for maximum half of the students leaving remaining half few are opted for their masters, started their startups remaining few get unplaced.

Fees and Financial Aid

The bachelors degree fee structure is 86000. But there is also reservation criteria comes into picture, sc and at students get full fee reimbursement from state government . College doesn't provide much financial assistance. It provides campus placements. I think there should be no hike in fee.

Campus Life

There are no much events conducted in campus. There are few events which are mostly technical giving certificates. There are events like vaagtarang, tech vaaganza, technocraft takes place in college which provide both technical and non technical events. College has good infrastructure with maximum all features. Including sports and indoor games fields.

Admission

Mainly most of the students enter this college or any college through ys eamcet entrance examination. Sometimes other than this jee mains exam percentile also considered for admission. The curriculum is not the best i would say There are many flaws in it Although the say the syllabus keeps changing but the changes are not that much The teaching method is also old school methods U can expect an exam every 1.5 months The difficulty is also high

Thinking Beyond Academics and Placements , life at BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus.

Placement Experience:

Placement here are going on pretty well considering the recession that hit the market in recent years,student become eligible for placements from the first sem of their final year , typically 7th semester for single degree students (BE) and 9th semester for dual degree students (Msc+BE),as per the recent cycle around 310+ companies including Google, MIcrosoft,Goldman sachs etc. had visited campus with offer majorly ranging from 18 to 27 lpa , the highest package last cycle (domestic) was for 65lpa and average aroun 21 lpa. The perecentage of students getting placed is above 80% and remaining usually go on for pursuing masters or already have a PPO from the Practice School Internship.I personally will be sitting for placements in my last year and will be hoping to land a good offer.

Placement Experience:

Internships starts from spring break of 4th sem and placements start from spring break of 6th sem ( if you don't get a PPO ) Many big companies like Microsoft , Oracle , DeShaw and Qualcom visit the college. More than 80% of student that are eligible for placements get placed while the others get off campus placements or opt for higher studies. My plans after getting th degree depends on the CTC of package I get offered. If it is not upto my expectation I will pursue higher education abroad.

State Entrance score is mandatory as 60% in 12th for general students is enough to qualify. However, rankers between 2000-4000 get to study here as our college seats get filled quite fast due to its affordability.
