Entrance Preview

SRMJEE Got a rank of 4800 and have opted this college because this was one of the top 10 private Institutes in the country and their education system is unique.

Internships Opportunities

I have received an internship offer from a top MNC. I was paid around 10,000 during the internship and the same company offered me a full time offer after the Internship.

Placement Experience

Approximately 3000 people got placed in our batch. The companies came to campus placements includes top MNC's like TCS, Accenture, Facebook, SAP labs, John Deere, Ford etc.The average pay offered was ?4 LPA.

College Events

SRM has a national level Tech Fest and a cultural fest organized every year. Each event lasts for 3 days each. There will be a huge participation from around the country.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was feasible when compared with all other private institutions in the country. Fee was at 1.5 lakh per year and other private universities are also charging almost the same.

Fees and Financial Aid

They accept loans. Scholarships are also provided for the top scorers in SRMJEE entrance. A full 4 year course fee is waived off for the top 3 rankers. Later there will ba a waiver for for 1 year or so for other rankers.

Campus Life

Campus life according to me was great. The gender ratio was 1:1. There were as many girls as guys. There were hostel parties organized once in a semester and they allow outsiders(even dayscholars) to attend the parties. Each hostelite could bring two guests.

Alumni/Alumna

I could say that this one of the wonderful parts our university had done to favour the students. We had alumni meet every year and we could get an entire day to spend with our seniors and interact with them. We learnt a lot from them.

Exam Structure

The exam structure was chilled out. There won't be much pressure at all unless you have back logs. Since the evaluation is divided, like 50% internals score and 50% externals, it was quite cool.

After 6 semester the students are eligible for all the core and it placements. For us the core companies are Capgemini tech pub(32), sopra steria(5) and boeing . The highest package is 8lpa and average is 5 lpa Out of 100 55 students are getting placed each year. I got placement in Capgemini and I am working on Capgemini.

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

I applied at PDEU, Gandhinagar and SRMIST and both colleges admissions were almost done but since my family is from Chennai, we al decided to stay close to home atleast for UG.
