Honest review for Vishwajothi college of engineering and technology

Dislikes

  • Campus Life is not that great as there is no extra curricular activities
  • There are many restrictions in tech fest and other functions in the college

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course I choose is easy to learn compared to other departments and I took this course because my brother's all learned information technology so I choose it. The faculty members in my department are very friendly. They help us in everything for our needs and guide us. The series exam conducted is easy as the faculty members tell us important topics to study.

Placement Experience :

Campus placement eligibility starts in the 7th semester. Companies like Infosys, Sutherland, south Indian Bank, cognizant, TCS, HDFC bank, IBM, tata, etc visit the college each year and there are many offers received. The college god 300 above placements in the year 2022. the highest package was above 1cr per annum and the minimum is 2.5 lakhs per annum. There is a good percentage of students getting placed like 40%. After the course, I have plans on getting a job and learning new experiences.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure here is 75000 per year and we pay in 2 installments. And there was no hike in price till now. There is a scholarship program in my college and I don't exactly know how it is. As I am currently studying there I have not got a job.

Campus Life :

The tech fest is called Drishya and is conducted in April. We have a big library and a good reading room for our studies and every book is available for our needs. Each classroom has a project for teachers to take a class. Currently, there are no sports coaching or curricular happening in college. There are clubs like NSS, IEEE present in the college.

Admission :

The admission process for me was easy as there were only 40 students in the information technology department and the total size is 60 so I got the course without any problem. The eligibility for this course was to be +2 pass and have a keam exam passed. The application form was available at the office of the college and every other detail was available there.

Actually placement cell is a bit week the company's is not that reputed and they offer monthly salary of 12k to 15k. Probably some startup companies. And many students choose that and work for 1 or 2 years to gain experience and then they apply for better opportunities.

From the 3rd year onwards we could attend placement interviews and many companies used to approach our college but mostly IT companies as I was in civil dept the construction companies were very less or NIL. In our batch, most of the students got placed and many offer letters but the only disadvantage was the offers were not from the core companies.
