My college is the best among many NIT's when compared to their infrastructure and faculty. The placements are also good.
Entrance Preview
The admission process is mainly based on the JEE main.There is no interview process. I wrote mains after my 12th but i didn't get selected.So i went for long term and wrote the mains again and then i got a nice rank and then i applied for JoSAA counselling. I took ECE as i was interested in it.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is pretty god and well designed. They are similar to all the NIT's are same. They mainly focus on practical learning and many research initiatives are taken. The ECE course is good. All branch students have same courses in the first year. We also have extra subjects like psychology and etc ., which are optional.
Internships Opportunities
My college do provides internship to the students. They are offered to only 4th year students. The average stipend is around 7,000 to 15,000 rupees. Basically it is very good opportunity as most of the students get offer letter from the companies they are interning at.
Placement Experience
The student placement cell takes care of the placements in the campus. 95% of the students get placed in the campus placements. The faculty plays a major role in this process. The average salary is in between 8 to 9 lakh. The companies like Accenture, Wipro, Deloitte, etc come here.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The tuition fee is 79,000 rupees and the total fee is 1,50,000 rupees along with the mess and hostel fee. The fee was affordable as there is fee concession based on the caste reservation and annual income of parents.
Fees and Financial Aid
My college don't offer scholarship but gives us fee concession based the family income and caste reservation.This is similar to all the NIT's.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are well maintained and good. They are spacious. There are separate hostels for both boys and girls. Also the wardens make sure of the safety of the students. The hostel and mess fees is nearly about 75,000 rupees. The food quality was okay but we get bored with the menu.
Exam Structure
Our college has semesters per year. Most of the weight age is given to projects. Let it be mini projects or major projects , they play an important role in learning process. Labs make us tired as there are many records to write and submit.There are two mid semesters and there are easy to score. But it is quite difficult to score a CGPA above 8.5
Faculty
The faculty and their teaching standards were good. They are ready to solve our doubts in the college hours. They are very interactive. They are very humble and are very enthusiastic to share their knowledge. They have their degrees from reputed colleges and most of them worked with famous companies like Google.
