Entrance Preview

There is entrance exam by the department of molecular biology, I cleared the exam and got seat. Course is excellent.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course is good with alot of electives. Practical learning is good, research initiative are held.

Yes, its good experience, average amount is 5000rs

Placement Experience

No placement, students should work on their own for jobs. Should write competitive exams for PhD programs.

Government quota is 10000rs and management quota is 40000rs.

Scholarships are given and students are benefited by it. I didn't avail any. As there was no need of it.

Extracurricular activity are present in college with so many talent shows. Facilities are good for students.

Hostels are good for the money, food is not that good. Yearly hostel fees are 7000rs and for sc/St fees are waved off.

Interactions are there among passed out students and between studying students this makes a good alumni and good environment.

Exams and lab practicals are held frequently which gives often less time for studying the described syllabus.

My Experience: The good and the Bad

Course Curriculum Overview:

I liked this biotechnology course in degree(Bsc) and i wanted to continue this course with higher studies. Hence this university is reputed one in Karnataka.. i choose this one and I got the seat and I am very happy for this. The teaching methods are really good but it depends on particular lecturers, how they teach .. For main sem exam the time was around 3 hours for 70 marks and it was moderate and can be manageable

In our department , 2 to 3 students are getting palcements. after i completed my degree , i want to research so i admitted in phd programmes.

BU needs more Improvement

Placement Experience:

After 3rd sem, we are eligible for campus placements. There'll be job drive for around 1 week where we get to attend. Commerce students get more opportunities rather than Botany students but nevertheless we get to work in medical feilds depending on interviews
