Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

This is the most respected course in the world. Society sees you with a different vision. Although the course is vast it teaches very interesting facts about our body. A white apron over you tells everything about you. There are 250 students in a batch which are divided into 125-125 groups. 125 students go for theory classes and 125 for practicals. So basically theory class strength is 125 which is taught by 1 assistant professor and 2-3 interns. There is a dissection hall in which 25 students are given one cadaver. So the ratio is good. All the teachers are well qualified. Most of them have done MBBS, and are well-qualified doctors, with 8-9 years of experience. Basically, teaching is done through projectors. There are 2 semesters in a year. Half of the syllabus comes in both semesters. To be honest it is slightly harder to pass the semester because most of the students start studying just before exams. But if you study from the beginning it is easier.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

After passing the 8th semester, the student is eligible for an internship provided by the college. The internship includes all the practical knowledge of all the departments like orthology, dermatology, general medicine etc. The internship is free of cost. The stipend for internship is currently 17000 which can be raised in future. After the internship, the top institute for doing pg is Aiims Delhi, MAMC New Delhi, and KGMC Lucknow. There is a very good ratio of students doing an internship at this college, almost 80 per cent of students get a chance to perform an internship from this college Top role is of - Neurosurgeon, Cardiosurgeon, Dermatologist, Medicine

Placement Experience

4

After 8 semesters the student is eligible for an internship. Intership includes practical knowledge of all the departments like neuro, cardio, derma etc. After the internship, there is an exam for Pg, named NEET PG which will be soon replaced by NEXT. Through this exam, the student is selected for a particular department. The stipend for an internship is Rs 17000. During Pg package depends on your department. The highest package is for Neurosurgeons and Cardiosurgeon which is around 8-9 lacs per annum. The average package is around 6-7 lacs per annum. Most of the students are eligible for internship from the college i.e. about 90%. After the internship, it basically depends on your marks for the placements. After getting the degree my plan is to become a Radiologist.

Fees and Financial Aid

It is a hike in society that fees of Medical Colleges are very high. It is not totally true. Fees for Government seats are very low. But for NRI it goes in crores. The fees for government seats depend upon the state. In Rajasthan, it is Rs 30,015 per year. There are many scholarships for students. Like those whose financial condition is not good, they have to give the proof of ITR returns and tution fee is neglected for those students. For girls their is no tution fee. For category students also their is no tution fee. Rajeev Gandhi Scholarship For Academic Excellence. During first 4 years college do not provide you any stipend. But many students earn money by teaching in nearby coaching centres. During internship college gives you a stipend which is currently around Rs 17000 per month.

Campus Life

4

Every year RNT conducts an Annual fest. Last year "Tarang" is organised by seniors. It is usually conducted in the month of July and August. There are thousands of books available in the library. Each subject books with its all authors are available in the library. There is also a reading room in which one can silently study. AC is provided in the reading room. As the building is very old classroom infrastructure is not so good. Well air-conditioned, with projectors. Many sports are played in the college. Every year sports week is organised by seniors. In this games like Cricket, Football, and Basketball like games are played in a well-competitive environment. During the fest, many indoor games and competitions also occur. College has its own ground where students can play cricket. A separate TT room is also available. There is a Instagram page for RNTians https://instagram.com/rntmc_udaipur?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

Admission

Admission to this college is taken through NEET Examination. To appear in this exam student must be a 12th pass. NTA conducts this exam every year. All application forms are available on the official NTA website. Application fees are about 1200-1300 rupees. Half price for category students. There is a major role of reservation in this exam. 15% of seats are for the SC category and 7.5% for the ST category in every college. For example, if a general student is getting a college at 635 marks, an SC category student can take it at 550-560 marks. Counselling is a very complex process during the time of admission. And a very long process. So if it could be simple and quick it will be more convenient.
