Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to get basic information on the commerce domain and hence opted for B. Com. A teacher on average teaches about 60 to 70 students per lecture and we can easily clear up our doubts in the class itself. The teachers are highly qualified and experts in their field. One who is attentive in class can easily pass the term exams. Periodical exams are taken every 1 to 2 months based on the semester.
Internships Opportunities
Each students have to do a compulsory summer internship during b.com or they have to do a project of their choice. The students can arrange an internship for themselves on their own or through college at their convenience.
Placement Experience
The students who sit for placements tend to get placed, however, many students opt for higher studies. Companies like D. E. Shaw, Deloitte, etc. visited the campus and several offers were made. The average package is 4 to 6 lakh p.a. while the highest package was 12 lakhs p.a.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college is very affordable compared to the facilities provided. The 50000 hostel fees include all hostel charges including food, electricity, etc. The fees tend to remain stable throughout the tenure and the cost of the study is worth the facilities provided.
Campus Life
Students enjoy a rich social life and have exposure to great infrastructure. Navotkarsh is the fest of the commerce Department which is held in the month of February and each department organizes a separate fest. Books are available for students free of cost and everyone has exposure to a huge library. Various clubs can be joined by students.
Hostel Facilities
The campus is fully residential. Each student gets a bed, almirah, and a study table. One room generally accommodates 3 to 4 students. The meals are clean and hygienic. Hostels are allocated based on the course and each hostel is well-maintained and clean.
Admission
The admissions were done purely on the basis of the class 12th marks. A percentage above 85 can easily secure admission to this course(B.com). However, in other courses the college like B. Tech or B. Sc, one may have to give a written exam as well.
