Course Curriculum Overview

I chose English honors because when I was a child I always wanted to become a teacher. And I love English subject very much. So that I chose this course. In my department, there are 8 teachers and 32 students per class, Which is quite satisfactory. And This ratio Is very good for every department. Our faculties are highly educated and qualified for tough exams like NET JRF etc. Their teaching methods are excellent. Their style of teaching can easily be very understandable. Their methods of teaching means their style of teaching prose, poetry, play and etc. which gives life to the subjects. And by this, we can easily capable to understand the subjects and capable to conclude them in our exams. Our semester will be held after every four or five months which is a little good for us. And we all know if we want to pass the exam we've to work hard and the difficulty to pass the exam is quite medium and hard in a scale 1-10. So overall it's very good for a student.

Fees and Financial Aid

first of all when you will get admission to college. You have to pay the admission fee which is based on your course. You will pay a certain amount of money for every semester exam. And if you have practical then you will pay 100 rs. per practical. The semester fee is 1250 rs. for every course The fee structure for the self-financing department is different from other courses. In this course, you will pay 14000 to 15000 rs per year and in other courses you have to pay 2000-3000 rs. per year. it is also caste-based payment. There are many different fees for every other caste. If you are general or OBC you've to pay little high fees. SC/ST and other backward castes will pay very less fees than others. Many scholarships will be available for students. Many govt. And private scholarships will wait for you in the college. By which you can easily improve your study materials and other needs. Campus jobs are also there.

Campus Life

The name of the annual fest is ANNUAL FUNCTION of the college. e.g. ANNUAL FUNCTION 2023. BASANTA UTSAV etc. It is held in February month every year. Which gives an energetic vibe to each and everybody. The availability of books and journals is sufficient for students and faculties. All of us can go to the library and get some valuable books for us. The classrooms are well designed and the atmosphere of the classrooms is very good. Sports and extracurricular activities are held in the month of December. Many sports are played by athletes and inter College competitions are also held in the college which gives freedom to students to showcase their talent in front of many people and also to the states. There are social group, and website available for students which helps them by providing job courses and many more useful things for their studies.

Admission

In my college, I was selected by cut-off marks. At that time the cut-off for every subject was very tough. In my time the cut-off for English honors was 83 percent. And I secured 84.5 percent in my 12th career. So I got selected for the college and got a chance to study in the best college in the Sundargarh district. Government Autonomous College, Rourkela comes top on the list of great colleges. For getting Admission to this college first of all you have to sign up on the website called SAMS. On this website you have to fill up the form, after some time the cut-off marks for every honor will publish by SAMS and also by the college website. After the publishing of cut-off marks, you will check whether you are selected or not.

The answer is a big and definite NO!! Campus placements have just become flashing cards for colleges to attract more students. They proudly say on their brochures (500 placed in Infosys,200 placed in TCS. .etc) as though it is a big deal. I think my answer is a bit biased since I studied in THE best engineering college in Karnataka, BMSCE Bangalore, but this can be extrapolated to other students too. For instance, let us take the example of three friends who studied MEchanical Engineering along with me. Let us call them Tom, Dick, and Harry. Tom and Dick were placed through campus placements in TCS in 2010. What happened to them 10 years from now.mechanical engineering so worked in a factory till 2016. Once he learned enough he started traveling and figured now was the time to follow his dreams ( his age was 25 and he did not have any financial obligations so he could quit). He started writing, and today lives peacefully in a village earning a respectable sum, writing content for anit

All were so amazing that there was no problem at all. The lecturers were so helpful and kind that whenever we needed any type of help, they were there always to help us. They didnt make any partiality between any students and the students were also very satisfied by them. Whether there may be curricular or extracurricular activities, in both they encourage us for taking participation. They also helped us in the time of our projects.
