Remarks

Its a good college and the management is good they provide good facility for students good library .

Entrance Preview

VTU-PGCET had done my BE computer science so wanted to do M.Tech in same stream admission process was very smooth .

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement is not that great but there were few placement activities and few people did get placed. For M.Tech the placements were very less.

College Events

We had Technical and Cultural Fest every year in the college and it was good and fun it used to happen for 3 days every year 1day technical, 2days cultural .

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible fee structure fee structure is as per the government fixed fee structure and apart from that the college fee is nominal compared to other colleges .

Fees and Financial Aid

I dint get any stipend but got scholarship 25% of my fee was paid back as scholarship the Scholarship amount was given after one year but I did receive.

Campus Life

The facilities are not too great but is very good compared to many collages location is also good and accessible campus life was good and enjoyed the most.

Hostel Facilities

Did not get a chance to visit hostel as I am from Bangalore itself but did hear that the hostel facility is pretty good and rooms have good facility .

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Did not get a change to attend any alumni meets and senior students .

Exam Structure

Exams were as per the VTU examination structure its not that hectic but yes we do have internal exams every month and every 5 months final exams as its semester scheme .

Faculty

Had good experienced faculties and they were very friendly and knowledgeable they were making us to be proactive and do some seminars after each session.It was a very good experience and teaching was very good faculties were very good college provides all

A mini heaven on earth called NITK

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose Mtech Thermal Engineering because I was interested in thermal subjects like Fluid mechanics, Heat transfer, CFD. The Curriculum is pretty decent and it does covers the fundamentals and advanced topics of the particular subject but it could be better in terms of imparting practical and industrial knowledge. The exams that are held in NITK are competitive and requires a good understanding of the subject. You simply cannot cram and get good marks in exam. You have to know the proper implementation of that particular formula or theory.

East or West , the college is average

I didn't apply to any other colleges as I had already made up my mind to admit in this college,that was really near to my place. Any students completed with 2nd pu and a kcet or cometk exam must, can admit to east West clg. But the fee might differ according to the obtained marks.The most students prefer is to join from kcet.The present cutoff in this college is 30,000.
