The course curriculum is quite vast with almost equal weightage to electrical & electronics subjects along with few computer science subjects. There are also some elective courses(total of 8) starting from 5th sem, in which you can opt for electives from core dept to other dept such as Humanities, etc.

Some students sit for campus interns and some do it on their own. It's hard to say how many get it. The highest offered would be through P&G, which is around 1.6 lakhs per annum.

NIT Trichy offers one of the best placements among all NITs and even some IITs. Generally, 95% of the students get placed. In my branch, the highest salary was 20 lakhs by P&G, and lowest would be 3-4 lakhs. Some of the companies that visit campus for my branch are Reliance, Avery Denison, ITC, Schlumberger, PepsiCo, SRF, HUL, etc. The roles offered include software engineer, plant engineer, or a management position like business analyst.

The fee of the course, being a government Institute is quiet low, as low as 3 lakhs for two years including hostel fee. The fees has to be paid in 4 equal installments every 6 months. There are charges for late fee submission but can be avoided by writing an application to the hostel conveyor.

Extracurriculars was good . Some of them are.. Playing sports in an organized competitive association. Supporting various organizations or humanitarian causes throughout the year. Visiting and participating in activities in retirement homes. Member of yoga club Gardening

Hostel facilities are good. Three or two in a room. One TV room for every hostel and one phone. There used to be a student warden for each hostel residing in the hostel full-time. Shopping complex, Bank, post office, sports complex and swimming pool are there for hostelers to enjoy a comfortable stay in hostel.

Yes we do have an active alumni network and we do many meetups in bangalore and hyderabad throughout the yearIts always pleasure to know the current status of the college and remembering our college days.

A academic year is divided into two semesters and each semesters have two cycle tests followed by the semester examination. The weightage of cycle test is 20% for each, 50% for final exam & rest 10% through assignments/continuous assessment. Each semester have 2-3 lab exams also. The days can be hectic sometime during last few days before exams, otherwise its pretty chilled out.

This is the down point of the college. This is the problem every student faces. There is a shortage of faculty members. Moreover, they give lectures on outdated topics. Sometimes, they appoint temporary teachers who are inexperienced. But there are a few teachers who really make the class interesting. Again, this is the condition in every college. Not to worry, you will have a great peer group and seniors whom you can always ask your doubts.
