Course Curriculum Overview

I have joined SF (self-finance) which comes under the management quota. The syllabus is good. It contains all the grammar of Tamil poems, Translation, journalism, criticism, etc. Some are very interesting and some seem very dry. The faculties were well trained and very knowledgeable. So make use of them

Class Size: 10Course Fees: INR 12000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The aided department isn't available for BA Tamil. Aided is only available for MA only. SF is available for BA Tamil. Myself, for an average semester, the fees range from 6000 to 7000 (Excluding exam fees, which need to be paid separately before the exam, which range from 1100 to 1300).

Campus Life

The functions are plenty. I love them. They are full of professional speakers. Getting knowledge from them frequently. Nice experience. Also, there are more than 30 clubs and forums, and each one has a unique motto. You can easily be a member and participate in club-related events.

Admission

The students are selected based on merits. For this course, BA Tamil the admission is based on 12th standard Tamil marks (Tamil subject only). I scored 95 in 12th HSE Tamil and easily got admission. Also, the application is available on the college's own website. Fully it's online. After filling out the admission application form, if you're selected, you'll get a call back from PSGCAS.

Life at PSGCAS

Placement Experience:

The placements were okay in our college, it starts from the second year onwards in respect to diff degree. For economics it starts from 5th semester onwards. There were many companies who visited including goldman sachs, deloitte, zoho, tcs, accenture etc. and the package starts from 1,20,000 to 12,00,000 rupees per annum.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well the course provides almost everything which is needed and available. This is not a normal economics course as it involves statistics,python, core math and also dives into data science. This allows the students to explore various subjects and can choose which is their best fileld. The curriculum overall is very rigorous and intense but you can crack it if you study regularly. About the frequencies of the examinations, we have 2 internal examinations and 1 end semester examination. I can guarantee that this course is super rigorous but im not sure if i would necessarily say that the course is "practical" and it helps us in the real word. I cannot comment on the practicality of the courses. The exams are not super difficult and its moderate. Getting more than 90% can be challenging although clearing the paper won't be an impossible task.
