Teaching man,what he knew not!

ZHCET is a very reputed college in India,with AMU ranking as the best university in India(Times Higher Education).The rank in itself tells you about the quality of education that is being provided here in AMU

AMU has its own engineering entrance exam,I scored 68.26% in the entrance exam and I opted for ZHCET because its in my home city and its a reputed college.

The curriculum is very good and it focuses on applied sciences as well as areas of research but some subjects like economics and management just don't mix well with engineering.These are very good courses but if you are teaching these subjects to an engineer,I don't think that's necessary.

My college has various programs with different companies that provide various internships opportunities. M/s. Colgate Global Business Services Engineering Office Complex, National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd. (NTPC - Noida), Sector - 24, Guatam Budh Nagar (U.P. Bharat Heavy Electrical Ltd. (BHEL) Heavy Electrical Plant these companies provide internships apportunities with varying stipend

Last year Recrufest was organised by Training and Placement Cell,AMU and around 65% of students who appeared got placed with packages varying from 5 lakhs per annum to 20 lakhs per annum Companies from India as well as abroad came for placement . Previously, students have been considered for recruitment from prominent names like Google, Adobe, Larsen and Toubro, Tata Chemicals, ONGC, ICICI, Vodafone, Asian Paints, Ranbaxy, Indian army etc. Placement details of 2013-14 and 2014-15: ● No. of companies visited in the session 2013-14 = 49 ● No. of companies visited in the session 2014-15 = 65 ● No. of companies repeated = 51 ● No. of placements in the session 2013-14 = 651 ● No. of placements in the session 2014-15 = 745

We have college festival every year.there are technical events,cultural nights,sports fiesta,games both indoor and outdoor and various fun activities.The College gives half the fund while the students organising the festival looks for sponsors from around the city.

It is one the the cheapest education centre in the world. Itcannot get any cheaper.My first year fees was 7800/- rupees ,second year fees was 4200/- and third year fees is 5245/-. This is the fees of one year and I believe no education centre in the world has lesser fees for engineering course than ZHCET.

there is alumni organisations that provide scholarship to meritorious students and minorty scholarships are also available

The campus is one of the best,it was maintained under the vice chancellorship of Lt gen Zameeruddin Shah and its a pleasure to be a part of such a campus.Its very clean and green with parks and trees and lawns everywhere.Its one of the biggest campus of the country.Gender ratio is pretty good.We have horse riding club in AMU which is 127 years old riding club and is maintained by the Aligarh Muslim Universty.I,myself am a part of the riding club and we organise national level horse show every year.

The hostel facilities are good,food is not that good,this is something AMU needs to improve .The rooms are good that stay cool even in summers because of the architecture,these hostels were made half a century ago and renovated from time to time.Usually the room is shared between 2 to 3 persons depending the size of the room and each person has a different Almira and a different bed.ther is unlimited high speed wifi facility available with 24*7 electricity supply.

The Alumni network is one of the strongest in India with Alumnis performing well in all parts of the world,they organise various meets around the world and help AMU in each and every cause and visits the university very frequently and is always engaged in one way or the other.

Labs are very frequent and very hectic becuase one has to do the whole experiment himself ,the teacher explains the experiment beforehand and checks the readings and inferences and we have to submit a report on the previously performed experiment and viva has to be given after every experiment

After XII boards,the admission form was out which one can get to know through university website and then entrance exam date is declared,after around one and a half month of entrance exam,result gets declared and you are called for counseling to admission in various branches of engineering.

They are well qualified and are given subjects according to their field of research which makes it easier for them to teach and simultaneously easier for students to understand.The professors have degree from abroad and they have various projects under them.So many patents have been filed by my department.The department of Electrical Engineering has sanctioned strength of 25 faculty members. Out of the existing faculty members, 16 have doctoral degrees specializing in diverse fields of Electrical Engineering such as Power systems, Electrical Machines, Electrical Drives, High Voltage Engineering, Control systems, Instrumentation, Biomedical Engineering, Microprocessors & Computers and Renewable sources of Energy.
