Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because i want to be a software engineer. There are 60 students in each class. The faculty have many years of teaching experience. The exams were easy, we can easily pass by studying a day before the exam.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 81000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The FactSet company offered internships to a few selected students with a stipend of 20k. For every semester we have to do a project and its grade is added to our final result. Some of the projects are win predictor, hotel management, etc.

Placement Experience

Form 3rd-year students are eligible for placements. Many companies have visited some of them are Factset etc. The highest package was 20 LPA and the average package was 4 LPA. The percentage of students getting placement was around 8.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides merit scholarships for those students who scored 900 or above in intermediate. College fees are less compared to other engineering colleges. TS govt provides fees reimbursement, The amount of scholarship may change based on your rank, caste, etc.

Campus Life

The annual fest is conducted once a year. We have a digital and normal library. We have sports hours. There are many physical education teachers. They provide the equipment. Bat, ball, volleyball, basketball, etc.

Admission

The admission process is simple. You can contact the staff. I took the EAMCET exam, the application process is available in it, and the cutoff for my college of around 50k(eamcet rank). If you are SC/ST you can easily get a seat. For OC you have to get 35k below to get a seat in computer science.

I will rate my curriculum 2.5 out of 5 stars.The syllabus covers the core subjects very well but it follows the old tradition with limited industry visits,It can be improved by adding more focusing on real world applications

Placement Experience:

From 3 -1 only students become eligible for campus placement and the companies visited for our college was Jpmorgan,google,microsoft,Infosys capgemini tcs etc.. The highest package in our college was 54 lpa from Microsoft and average packages were 5-10lpa the percentage of getting placements by students is 75% and my plans after getting the degree is to get a good placement in a MNC's.

My campus life and experience

Placement Experience:

Until know i got some info among the placements and internships is that yes, this college is providing campus placements good as some of the recent companies were Infosys, Capgemini,and other companies drive has been conducted in the college for the 4rth years. So the placements are good here no worrys too. But the LPA is less a bit like in the past years as the software industry is getting more hard to get jobs.

There are many companies costing the campus for recruitement like Accenture ,Infosys , keka , Accenture , infor etc and many other startup . They mostly consider students from Cse background but even allow others if they have skills . Accenture and cognisant will hire many students and there pay would be around 5 lakh per year for service roles . If they take for other roles then the salary is more 60-70% people get placed , some prefer doing masters even though they are placed

Vaagdevi College is Versatile!!

State Entrance score is mandatory as 60% in 12th for general students is enough to qualify. However, rankers between 2000-4000 get to study here as our college seats get filled quite fast due to its affordability.
