MY COLLEGE EXPERIENCE

I have chosen this course 4-year course as I'm very much interested in it. In each branch, there are an average of 90-100 students present and 8-9 faculty members are present depending upon the number of subjects they have in the course. Nearly all the faculty members are Ph.D. graduates and have a strong grip on their respective subjects. In one semester, one has to give 2 exams, mid-sem, and end-sem. Achieving passing marks is not difficult but to achieve a good score one has to do hard work and has to understand the subject in detail.

Many companies hire interns from our college such as Microsoft, Google, Sprinklr, uber, Siemens Healthineers, synopsis, infinity x, Pitney Bowes, EY, textbook, ResMed, and many more. Projects of students of IIT BHU have gone international in Robotics, web development, etc.

Placement at our college is also quite good, our college mostly achieves 100 percent placement every year, with a minimum package of 6.5 to 7 lakhs and a maximum package of 4Cr. A large number of companies come here to hire students and provide them with jobs.

One has to pay 121000 per semester until and unless they belong to the EWS category. Our college provides a lot of options for internship programs as well as campus placement too. Students can also get study loans and scholarships as per their financial condition.

Life on the campus is quite good. We get to participate in many fests organized by our college such as our annual fest 'KASHI YATRA', FMC weekend, Technex, and many more branches fests. We have a very good library here, which carries books of humungous varieties, and also various types of magazines and novels. IIT BHU has a very good and amazing sports environment as here we have courts for various types of sports such as Cricket, Badminton, Tennis, Volleyball, Basketball, Hockey, squash, Swimming, running, shot put, etc. And IIT BHU VARANASI has the maximum number of clubs among all the IITs, we have the 2nd maximum number of telescopes among all the IITs.

The hostel facility of our college is not too amazing, as it has small rooms, 3 students live in a room which is made for 2 students. The cleanliness of the washroom is average. But the food quality is amazing, our mess food is really good. Various types of items are served every day to the students. For example, in lunch, 4 types of vegetables, dal, sambhar, salads, chapati(with or without ghee), and 3-4 types of rice are served daily. Dinner is also the same as lunch but non-veg is also served at dinner twice a week. The registration process for a hostel is also quite simple in IIT BHU, but the roads around the hostels are very busy and crowdy as it is an open campus.

To pursue B Tech from IIT you have to qualify for JEE MAINS and after that JEE ADVANCED. Only after qualifying jee advanced one can participate in JoSSA counseling for admission into IITs. Information on the application form and fee structure would be available on the NTA website during Jee main, after qualifying the main, further information would be available on JEE ADVANCED website. If someone belongs to any category then it would be beneficial for them as they can get admission in Higher IIT and higher branch as general category students on the same marks.
