Course Curriculum Overview
After completing my graduation, I wanted to pursue higher studies, and being in Odisha KIIT was one of the best institutes where I can appear for admission. Most of the faculties are from IITs and IIMs. The faculties are so supportive.
Internships Opportunities
The placement opportunities are there for those who are interested in sales roles, marketing, analytics, finance, and operations. The average stipend at KSOM for an internship is decent and almost all the students get placed at decent organizations for internships.
Placement Experience
Few companies provide PPO to students who have performed better during their internships. Overall, the placement process starts in August for the graduating batch. Almost all students who are eligible get placed by the end of the academic year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee at KSOM is a bit more as compared to other colleges. But, the facilities at KSOM are decent and worthwhile. I have not received any scholarship but there are scholarships for top students. Top students get merit scholarships.
Campus Life
Campus life at KSOM is great and we enjoy each and every day here. There are libraries at each respective college and a central library. All the classrooms are digital and equipped with the latest amenities.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility at KIIT is great. The rooms are spacious and the meals served are also good in taste. The quantity served is optimum and we enjoy our lunch. We get both veg and non-veg meals. We are allocated our respective rooms on the day of reporting itself.
Admission
All those who have completed their graduation with above 60% were eligible for the admission process. We had to appear for written tests followed by GD and PI. The application fee was INR 1250. The application process starts at the end of November.
Interview Experience
Yes, we had to appear for a written test, and on the shortlisting post, we have to appear for group discussion and personal interviews. The PI round is a bit tough but topics of GD revolve around current affairs.
