Remarks

Only good thing was, some how they brought in some, consultancy to the college, which chose few candidates and placed them in some companies, even companies like infosys, l&t, Quinnox, and some small companies were brought into the campus. that is only positive thing i can think of.

Entrance Preview

i got in with COMED K, i scored about 2500 rank, in cet i had got 40,000 rank, but i dint get shot listed here, so i tried with my comed k score and it worked out.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

There is no research what so ever, it all just bare dry course material that VTU has suggested. The teachters just give the dictated notes and students pass exams with outside tutions notes. Paper is set by VTU when we were studying.

Internships Opportunities

Only two groups before me 2010 batch got some internship opportunities, in L&T company, out batch i hardly remember anyone getting any internship companies, for final year project people pay the tutorials about 15,000 to 20,000 per group and get the project done.

Placement Experience

1.5

The placements are worse, and students are not given placement opportunities, in my batch of 40 members hardly 10 people got placed very few in infosys. only in lat week after exams, few people were brought in for placement training. The placement officer was the worst person ever that we had he was egoistic and worse person that anyone can ever imagine. He left the college during our placements were suppose to happen. But i got placed with the help of my college only, some consultancy called pratian trained me and placed me.

College Events

0.5

They used to conduct some event called AGAM, in the end each year, some cultural events used to be held and all sound speakers and many events like ducherrads, drama, dance all used to be held.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees was way to expensive, when compared to other colleges, people who had come from north india where charged so much, some people, wrote letters to chairman saying they will commit suicide if they were not allowed to write exams. People who joined from CET and comed k had fixed pay structure that the government decided, but people who joined from management quota had out huge amounts to the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

There was no scholarship or merits for students, as far as i remember only, some schedule cast and schedule tribe people could avail some scholarship. About some 25,000 rebate they got on overall fees of 40,000 that they sued to pay.

Campus Life

2

Campus life was all boring, there was no extra curricular activities lie sports or arts what so ever, it was all just about studies, the labs were under equipped, especially the mechanical labs where we used to use the CAD programs, even the keyboards buttons wont work and if pressed once the button wont come back thee sprint, in chemistry labs,, used to stink and it was in a basement,

Hostel Facilities

1

First of all there was no separate canteen, for the full college we had to go outside for lunch, actually they show hostel mess and say that it is canteen for all students, but later students realize that they have been cheated. In last year they just started a small canteen which just gave out some snacks like samosa and juices, that also looked so unhygienic.

Alumni/Alumna

There is no known allumini network, students themselves have created some, facebook groups only with that and with some whats app contacts we know few of our seniors, apart from that there is official allumini group or network that is known or which the college maintains.

Exam Structure

Exams were held by VTU, so all the papers used to come from the main university, it had 3 internals and 1 external exam per semister, it was literally screwing. Lab internals and lab external exams also used to be there. Of the 3 internals that we used to have, the best of 2 used to be taken and average of that used to be considered. and that marks used to get merged with the external marks.

Faculty

2.5

Faculty most of them even speak fluent english, they are not qualified with proper way to handle students and to inspire engineering way of thinking, all the focus is on scoring marks and getting placed, only very fwe teahers have an engineering bent of mind.

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
