- Faculties are absolutely living a century ago. None of them can efficiently use IT systems and not much knowledge about it.
- Very less exposure to the outside world and lack of knowledge about the recent trends in Finance (or any other respective departments)
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as I was interested to build a career in Commerce and Finance. There are not many knowledgeable faculty. Everyone seems like using very old methods. Teaching methods: It's just the same as it was 50 years before. Nothing has changed. If you ask the faculty any doubts, they will reply to Google..! Exams are very easy to pass- especially the internals as I was in the good book of the staff. So I did not have any issues with the internal exams. If you are in the bad book, you need to struggle to pass University exams as you will not have enough marks for the internal exams.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee is very high. So even if there is no fee hike, they will get it from the students in some other name. Financial assistance: If you are a relative of some church members, you will get financial perks and other perks from college.
Campus Life
Books and journals are available. Amenities in the classroom are very limited light fans and desks. I am not involved in many sports, but they do have some sports here. There are many social groups, especially some Christian groups on campus. If you are a member of this, you may get an easy pass to the good book of the teachers.
Admission
If you have someone as your relative in the church you will surely get the seat. Else give the donation. Go directly to Newman College for admission. Need staff who are a bit tech savvy. The current PCs are worse than Government offices at using computers and other new technology.
