Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose my course, i.e. B.Tech in Information Technology due to my sheer interest and the availability of decent or excellent job opportunities. The faculty-student ratio is also quite good. Our institute has a total of 100 faculties among which nearly 20 faculties teach us all the subjects within different semesters. Most of the faculties are PhD qualified from renowned institutes IIT, NITs and other central universities. The term exams happen quite at appropriate times and the passing percentage is almost 95%.

Internships Opportunities

3

The companies here include the UST private ltd, and Easyweb Services which here offer a decent amount of stipend as well. They offer the role of a web developer, ML/AI intern, etc. The projects here include database design, software testing, designing ml models, etc. We further receive more projects, internships and stipends.

Placement Experience

2

After 6th Semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Several Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Alstom, and High Next Engineering Service Ltd. visit our campus and they hire or recruit a lot of students. Nearly 85% of students get placed, but the quality of the package offered is not up to the mark. Only Service based companies visits, no product-based companies visit here. The highest package went up to 33 LPA and the average package is 3.5 LPA approx. The profiles offered by various companies include software development engineer, web developer, quality and testing engineer, etc. Most of the students here are mostly interested in government or PSU jobs rather than on-campus placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are no hikes in tuition fees and the cost of study here is Rs. 25600 for the whole 8 semesters. During each semester, there is a necessary exam registration fee of Rs. 3760. Yeah, the State Government of Bihar do provide financial assistance through the Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme which covers educational expense cost up to Rs. 400000 at the interest rate of 4%. I am also a beneficiary of this scheme.

Campus Life

4.5

Here lots of recreational or extra co-curricular activities are being done on campus, namely Junnon (Art Club Fest) and TechMITI (Tech Fest) organized in the month of August and April respectively. A large library is also available on the campus and a wide range of books & journals from each and every department of engineering are present here. Classrooms and Labs are quite large and they are well equipped with fans and ACs. The two main sports events are organized here, namely, Udgam and Umang which are intra-college and inter-college sports events respectivaley. There are lots of clubs or social groups run or organized by the students on campus, namely Moxie (The Technical Club), Prakriti, and Junoon (Art & Cultural Club).

Admission

I got admission in Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology through UGEAC counselling. But the merit list of UGEAC is prepared through JEE-Mains Exam only. The maximum cutoffs in terms of JEE-Mains percentiles (category-wise) were 92%ile,90%ile and 80%ile for general, OBC-NCL and SC/ST categories respectivaley to get admission in the Information Technology Branch. I had 96%ile and my JEE-Mains AIR was 42k according to the UGEAC merit list, I had 21 rank in the Unreserved (UR) Category. Any student which is interested to get admission in Bihar State Government Engineering Colleges can apply for them at the BCECE website.

Placement Experience:

The college is established in 2019 and hence there is no campus placement cell is not available yet. Although the management is working hard for this. Apart from placement there are different employability and plans you can go for after completing the course:- You can start your own business, As this is the dream of millions of youth to start their own business you can do this. You can appear and qualify for the Gate examination and go for higher study. You can also go for off-campus placement. There are a lot of Faculties who can guide you to achieve your goal. And most important you can prepare for Government jobs at your college only as there is not much burden and we have a lot of free time which can be used to achieve the goal.

Placement Experience:

eligibility- from 7th semester students are allowed to participate in hiring process. companies - TCS, BYJUS, COGNIZANT, MINDTREE, DXC, ITC, WIPRO, are significant recruiters who hired some students. TCS hired most, 14 students and most of the other companies hired one or two students. only 30% of us are placed, luckily I am one of them. only one student has been placed by core companies. Only one came to our college. Rest of them are software Engineer or sales executive jobs. no of student placed is really poor so I recommend you not to take admission in our college. I am now hired by DXC technologies, waiting for the joining dates and venues. I have plans of higher studies after two years when companies allow us to do higher study, Mtech or MBA.
