Remarks

The college management is fine not good. Also with our batch it has faced its many first experience and with that I guess College has done great job. One can't blame the entire management for the mistake/carelessness of single person. They just need to regularise a few things so that students should not face any problems cause of management. It is a great college in terms of quality in study and faculty. Since it is an emerging college, it is taking its due time to recognise itself. But recently, achieving the most successful emerging college award shows that the college is on Right Track and building its reputation with time. If asked the cons, since its emerging, it lacks a few of infrastructure points. But overall its a good college to study in.

Entrance Preview

Since I was from science stream and I didn't want to do Engineering. I opted for Architecture. I gave NATA. As i couldn't get into USAP, Delhi. I was left with private colleges in which I wasn't interested. Thus, opted for Hindu School Of Architecture, Sonepat. It comes under 100 year old Hindu Charitable society, which is famous for keeping up with the standards of education.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

We have electives in 8th and 9th semester only. Focus on research depends upon subject to subject though. In a few subjects we had a huge scope of research and we were provided with the opportunities also. A few subjects had a little or no scope of research as per the curriculum.

Internships Opportunities

No. The Architecture colleges in general, do not provide internships. We have to go to architectural firms and offices for the internship and it varies how much stipend we can get.

Placement Experience

2

No. The Architecture colleges in general, do not provide internships. We have to go to architectural firms and offices for the internship and it varies how much stipend we can get. It varies from nothing to Rs. 10,000. The internship is something we have to go out ourselves.

College Events

2.5

We have annual events like NASA, Zo-NASA, fests, etc. for which we go to the designated colleges. These events happen every year in which college participates and have won many laurels to the college. Apart from that, in house festivals/ events are Ethnic Day, Teachers' Day, also cultural hours which have events like face painting, clothes from waste etc events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is feasible as it comes under charitable society. Also, it goes as per the University reforms. I took admission in 2012 and i had 72,000 per year for my five years. Though, the amount stays the same for entire 5 years but new batches experience a hike in fees, but as per the University rules.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I haven't availed any nor do I have knowledge about any. A few scholarships are offered through the University. Rest I haven't taken any loan and I have no information or knowledge regarding any of the scholarships or loans available from the college

Campus Life

2.5

Since it is a new Institute. It hasn't achieved so much as asked. But yes it is going in that direction. It should go to competitions more often. Rest we have extracurricular activities, as mentioned above. The college has held many workshops like with NDMC, bamboo experts, etc. now and then. But yeah It doesn't has dedicated societies, but it is also not resistant for them.

Hostel Facilities

3

Boys and Girls hostels are separate. It is in sharing of 2 and 3 beds. But rents and facilities for both are little different. Girls hostel has a canteen. Boys don't have any. The fees is more or less same for both. It is around Rs.45,000-Rs.50,000 including room and mess. Also the PG's are available which would cost some Rs. 50,000 - Rs. 60,000.

Alumni/Alumna

We are the first proper batch who has passed out as our senior batch had only 2 students. Not to worry the junior batches conclude to more than 300 students.

Exam Structure

The Exam structure is not even chilled out nor it is hectic. It is in between both of them. We are given enough prep. leaves. We are given enough time for the exam duration. Since we have few exams on catridge sheets. It is duly provided by the University.

Admission

NATA exam is required. After that either by D. C. R. U. S. T University counselling (just like I. P. University) or the merit list in the college. I achieved through merit list. Since the college was new at my admission. The process wasn't too formalised. But from the next batch, all the dates are provided in advance from open admissions to last day of fee submission. The procedure is more sorted and well informed forehand.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty members are with experience of 2 years to more than 40 years The course has 5 years and each year is provided apt amount of faculty along with apt experience. Not only this. Teachers are given subjects according to there experience on it. Every subject has atleast two professors. One leads it and other sub-ordinates.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose to decide this course as it is a profit course with some creative thinking going on. The curriculum of the college does not prepare at all for the real world applications or further academic pursuits. The curriculum doesn't include what is latest in technology. For example we have few elective subject which we are not allowed to choose as the college does not have the faculty for those subjects and neither do they try to get the faculty for these subjects and say that you cannot choose this subject. The areas of improvement in course curriculum are a lot. The students teach better than teachers via their presentations. The teacher just sits idol in classes and give students a topic to give presentation and teach other kids. The exams are conducted semester wise which are not at all difficult. One just needs to go through previous year papers and he will pass with good marks. The internal marks are given by teachers on the basis of how much a teacher likes a student. the work you do does not matter at all for them.
