Great college

College management is good and is always helpful. I would say it’s a good experience to have and you get good placements from here.

Aieee... I scored 316...cse is one of the best courses in this institute. It’s equipment to few of the iits in terms of placements.

Course structure is good but is quite old and should be revised. Few courses like computer networks are good and research focused. Sometimes there are extra subjects in each semester and a lot to study and understand. I would say rather than keeping so many cse subjects college should focus on subjects that are helpful in jobs. Feeding extra non necessary information is of no use.

It provides internships and students can work on any desired projects. They first have to contact the faculty through emails and once approved, they can come to college for the project.

Placement is really awesome. At the time of recession, cse placement was more than 100%. Usually all it companies like Microsoft, Facebook, d e shaw, amazon, oracle, Cisco, adobe, netapp, Goldman Sachs visits campus. Oracle and Cisco offers 8.5 lap. Amazon offers 10 LPA plus equity. De shaw offered 12 lpa. It ranges from 6.5 to 12.5 lpa. This is the offers companies gave in 2010.

There is tech fest called pragyan and cult fest called fest ember. In cult fest, there are a lot of cultural activities, food stalls etc. there are quizzes and lots of other activities in to participate in. In Pragyan, we have to build working models and there are cash prizes for the winners. There is lots to eat and enjoy.

It’s a government college so it’s quite feasible for everyone. Fee is divided into hostel fees and mess fees. In 2006-2010 hostel fees was around 30000 and mess fees was 15000 per semester. In final semester mess refund is given based on the number of days when students don’t eat in mess.

There is a scholarship provided to SC/st students. I don’t think there is any loan facility available in College.

Overall campus life is good. Students living outside for the first time have to be aware of idiots. I could see a discrimination based on areas. Gender ratio is 50:50. College has a lots of extra caricullar activity areas. There is a big lab where we could study and there is a huge badminton court, cricket playground, gym.

Hostel facilities is overall ok. However it is better in pre final and final year. Mess food sucks. Food quality is very bad. Stuff used to prepare food is not fresh and some people even found it with insects n all. It’s better to look for an alternative to eating in mess. We have to wash our clothes of our own or get it to laundry and then collect it from there.

College Alumni is good. It always is very beneficial to keep in touch with Coll alumni and good faculty.

There are two cycle tests and one semester exam each semester. Semester exams are quite hactic. Apart from that cycle tests contribute 40% and assignments contribute 10% in total marks, rest all is Sen exams(50%). There is programming lab, database lab and networking lab. Exams and labs make the exam day quite hactic. A cse student has to really work hard to get good grades. Sem exams have a major contribution in deciding grades. Student scoring low in cycle tests gets good grades on doing good in semester exams.

Have to attend aieee counselling in Allahabad and choose colleges with branch. Next morning college is allotted and have to pay initial admission fee to block the seat. Have to visit the College website , check for admission dates. Visit College campus on the date mentioned on website. Then there is a general admission process in which hostel and mess allocation is done. First year is common for all the students so a section allotment is also done at the time of admission.

Faculty is ok. Most having sound knowledge in their areas but few really sucks. Few faculties are phd in the respective subjects and having deep knowledge. While there are faculties who only part of the subject and that too not up to the par. There are a very few of these faculties.
