Remarks

In Conclusion, the College Life is really good. It is an up and flourishing University and although it may not perfect, it is developing and creating a name for itself. Somethings could be improved such as encouraging a nightlife in the campus itself. The hostel rules could be a little lenient. But overall, the college would certainly give you an amazing college life with a huge plathora of memories.

Entrance Preview

I took KIIT Entrance exam, registration for the exam is free of cost. On the basis of my rank, I was given the option of choosing my course of Computer Science & Systems Engineering.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course structure is good. The subjects are all on par with my course. There are at least 3-5 different LABs in each semester for imparting practical knowledge rather than just theory. Attendance is given very much importance. Failing in having more than 75 % attendance can result in getting debarred from giving the exams.

College Events

5

The college is swamped by numerous events popping throughout the year. Hackathons, MUNs, quizzes, Robotics, etc. We also have a few festivals in a year. We have different societies where the students can get enrolled, other than studies. There is literary society, dance society, anchoring groups, international society, social service society, to name a few. They have been given a separate location to operate known as KIIT Student Activity Center(KSAC). It also has a huge stadium.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is expensive. For one semester, we have to pay 1,50,000 excluding the hostel and mess charges. There are a total of 8 Semesters in B.Tech. The hostel fees vary on the basis of different types of hostels like AC/Non-Ac, 2/3 Bed etc. 15,000 is the mess charge.

Campus Life

5

The campus Life is simply amazing. The infrastructure is awesome. There are tons of extracurricular things to do. We have almost all the games, numerous gyms, and swimming pools. The gender ratio is good. The college gives a priority to girl education and maintains the general ratio level. Diversity can be seen in the college as people from all the states of India come to study here. Apart from that, there are students from different countries and continents such as Afghanistan, Europe, and Africa. There always have to be different types of competitions going on the campus. It feels like a small town in itself. There are a number of places to go and chill just around the campus

Hostel Facilities

3

There are a lot of hostels. The guys' hostels are known as King's Palace and the Girls' Hostels are known are Queen's Castle. There are around 19 KPs for boys and 13 QCs for girls. There are more than enough hostel seats. The hostels rooms are equipped with beds, tables, and wardrobes. They are regularly cleaned. The Mess food is average. It is still not good enough though.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students are really helpful. Different Online forums are created so that juniors can get in touch with their seniors. All of the societies, activities, fests are organized by the seniors under the guidance of faculty members of course.

Exam Structure

We have 1 internals in the semester known as mid semesters and we have the final exams known as end semesters by the end of semesters. For each subject, end sems hold 60 marks, mid sems hold 25 and 15 marks are given by the faculty on the basis of quizzes and assignments there are apt number of LABs as well. A few days do get hectic but in a good way.

Admission

My rank card and the process was sent via email. I have to attend the counseling on the given date along with a DD of 75000. 65000 would have refunded if I wouldn't have taken admission. I went for the counseling and I was given a form to enter my choice, of course, hostel/day boarder, type of hostel etc. after submitting the given form, my name was called and I was told if I am eligible for my choice of Branch or not. I was eligible and my admission was confirmed.

Faculty

3.5

The Faculty is really qualified with most of them having a doctorate degree. That being said, the only issue is that since it is a new University, many faculty members of the initial semesters don't hold much experience. They could choose better methods of teaching. For example, as all the classes are equipped with projectors, videos related to the topics can be used to better explain the topics. The teaching methods can be improved

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I love computers and I have deep intrest in computer science sk I choose this course. I learned much necessary things in the college. College should help and provide skills according to the students. There were hackathons done by the college which is a good step towards the development of students. The main focus should be in the practical knowledge than the thoery as in real world students have to deal with projects where labs practices play a major role.

Placement Experience:

the placements are preety good in this college . however currenty the job market is down so it has impacted the college placements. from 6th semester onwards students become eligible for placements however the companies visit from 7th sem onwards . many renowned companies visit along with multiple startups offering from a range 4 lpa to 24 lpa all based on the potential of the students. the college offers a 100% placement but looking at current senario it seems difficult. mostly companies hire for sowftware engineers and product manager roles but , also provide marketing and sales job roles. 25 lakhs per annum is the highest package in the recent time average package is abput 5-10 lakhs per annum. though college promises 100% placements, the actual percentage is quite low about 50-60% students are getting placed which is also a result of the current job market scenario my plans after this degree is joining a company and finding my passion . i can also tink about my own startup based on my passion to make a change in the society .
