Climate of Chennai is very hot and the small shop items are not good
Good and they sell bad goods like chips, burger, juice
And my overall dislike is the small shop inside the campus

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I want to become a chef, 3200 is a faculty-student ratio. The qualification of the faculty is a Ph.D. nd they are from the industry nd well experienced. Every 6 months there will be an exam nd the questions will be very easy because the teaching methods of the faculty are very good.

Class Size: 22Course Fees: INR 300000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Taj group of hotel, Hilton, ITC grand chola, Grand Hyatt, and Leela palace is offering an internship with a stipend of 18000, The project is our overall experience in the hotel during the internship and the department knowledge where we worked.

Placement Experience

From 5 semesters students become eligible for the placement. Top hotels are visiting for campus placement like Taj, Hilton, ITC, grand Hyatt, and Leela palace. Taj group is providing a package for the general manager is 1000000. 85%of students are getting placed. My plan after my degree is to become an executive chef at the Taj hotel.

Fees and Financial Aid

Normally the fee is 300000 but if u are writing a scholarship exam u will get a 75% scholarship. There is an option for an education loan. And I got a part-time job from campus and the stipend was 18000 monthly the scholarship was name excellence of srm.

Campus Life

Veda food festival they conduct. Every book and journal are available inside the campus. We have sports access nd extracurricular activities like dance, music, karate, swimming,etc. SRM stud mainly shows new things done by the boys and girls.

Admission

We need to be the 10th pass, You can find on the college website. Yes, there is a reservation for the candidate. No improvement everything is best in our college. The college provides quality education and more they focus on practice that is the very best thing abroad the internship and placement and while you study you will get the opportunity of a part-time job in 5-star hotels.

Experience at Hospitality Industry

Placement Experience:

Placement in SRM Chennai was quite fine being from hotel management background I saw many five star hotels coming for campus interview for selecting students and it was in the third year we got placement in the college. The five star hotel which visited our campus were : Hyatt Regency Chennai, J W Marriot, Taj Group of hotels, Starwoods, The Park and The Oberois these were some of the finest hotel which came for recruitment and the hiring was done based on department wise interview that is to say if the student has chosen kitchen as his career then he had to give food trial which included 3 course menu and he or she was selected based on food trial and interview given before. Each department had its own offer to make that is to say that selection was done for hotel operations trainee and management level trainee and these 2 posts were common in the four main departments of the hotel and the average salary offered was 3 to 4 lakhs per annum and it all depend on interview given

A LIFE IN SRM UNIVERSITY(main campus)

i applied to VIT, BITS, amritha, ssn, sns and finally SRM.I got a confirmed admission from SRM and VIT .I choose SRM over VIT because of lesser fees comparatively and SRM also has a wide range of specialization options in its course. I got less rank in the VIT Entrance exam so i got andhhra and bhopal campus which was very far and not comfortable for me.The others colleges were not suggested by my friends and finally thought SRM was better. In SRM .. the admission process is smooth and it is fully online and nothing is offline. As soon as the result of the entrance exam got published .. we are given the option to take the full admission process with the questions of what course do we prefer based on the rank and thereafter the dates for everything is shown in ur respective portals given to us throughh which we gave our exams...Read More
