Remarks

Bad is everywhere where good lies. This depends on the perception of the person. I'd say, the fee structure can be made better. Rest everything is fine.

Entrance Preview

I appeared for CAT and got 82 percentile. I chose universal business school as it provided better experience and exposure to industry comparitively, which is true also.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course is fairly good. They provide an overview of management studies in the first year by teaching every subject from Accounts, economics to marketing, operations and people and organisations. In the second the concentration is according to the specialisation which covers everything of it.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, they do. And they give you lot of opportunities to appear for. I got to work with the Britannia Industries limited, and learned a lot about the retail sector. Specifically, I worked with the Modern trade and learned the way they pursue their everyday tasks.

Placement Experience

3

The placements starts in the month of september, with companies like Amazon and Thomas assessment. They provide you decent and good packages. Moreover, you can sit for a number of job interviews till you find yourself satisfied with what you've got.

College Events

4

Work hard, party harder is not just a mere slogan for UBS. But they actually follow. Every month before or after exams, we have a party as in OctaveNight. Besides this, the festivals are also celebrated with lot of enthusiasm. Apart from this they have events like R4R, MidnightSunrise and ENV which are the flagship events of the college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is different according to different courses and the payment method also varies accordingly. Whether it's feasible or not, or whether you make it feasible or not depends on the individial completely. They will give you the ooportunities to explore yourself and give your best shot, it depends how do u take advantage of the same.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't availed any of the scholarship, so wont be able to write much about it. Wrong and incomplete information is always bad rather than knowing nothing about it.

Campus Life

4

UBS has students from all over India, whether it's South, east, North or west. So there is a good chance to know people of every culture. Lot of competitions are being rolled out by the management and number of clubs, sports activities keep you busy throughout the day.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel of UBS doesn't make you feel like hostel. There are flats, having 4 sets of room, a good spacious lobby which has a sofa set to take rest. They provide you an electric jug and an induction also. Cooking yourself wont be an issue. Rooms with good size shelf is an added advantage.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is something that depends person to person. And personally, My experience was really good. Your seniors guide you for everything you need to know about college, internship or anything. Not only they guide you, but behaves like another peer with whom you can enjoy and share your thoughts.

Exam Structure

Exam structure consists of End-term and Mid-term. Some people find this schedule very hectic, while few do not. Exams can be like 2 exams a day to judge the way you handle stress and to observe how do you cope up with deadlines. But this is not the cade everytime. Not only exams will make your final marksheet and assessments but the quiz, presentations and class behaviour also adds up to your grades.

Admission

Basically there were two rounds of selection criteria. The first was the PI, taken by Mr. Tarun Anand. It was completely situational and not based on any theoretical knowledge. There were questions related to decision making skills and a few of general knowledge. Prior to the selection, we had an extempore round. And the last round was interviewing the parents.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty is not merely someone who comes and teaches. But they involve you and make learning an easy task by exercising some activities related to the topics taught in the class which makes everything clear. Not only this but every week, on tuesday, we have a mentor session. We share our views, exchange knowledge and do a lot of other stuff like GDs, PIs and debates also.

Remarks:

Overall, my journey with the ACACS was pretty great. I learned a lot, made a lot of friends, made connections, etc. Infrastructure was just okay, furniture is old school, though. But the students and people around here were very accommodating. Campus life was awesome, social life was great, cultural, and gender diversity marks another distinguishing feature of our college.

Admission:

Students with a valid graduation degree with at least 50% marks can apply to the PGDM program. Admissions are granted here on the basis of marks in the entrance exam and performance GDPI rounds. The overall entire admission process was pretty smooth.

Remarks:

College management is highly supportive of student needs. The management listens to student issues and tries to solve it with proper thinking and strategy. The college and the composition, though is extremely dynamic and diverse, students live together peacefully in harmony, supporting and helping each other whenever needed. Though being it's initial stages of setup, the college faces certain issues with placements and internships, but slowly with every batchs learnings, these are also being cured. This ensures that students are always on their toes and ready to take on challenges.
