Course Curriculum Overview
I have an interest in civil engineering. The faculties are well qualified. Guest teachers are there too. Semester exams are not hard at all. You can easily pass the exams. The main thing you should do is maintain a good relationship with teachers, it will benefit you in your internal examination.
Placement Experience
Students get placement offers in the 5th semester. There are very less number of companies visited for the civil engineering department. Companies like Jaypee cement,maruti suzuki come here. The highest package is 5 lac per annum and the lowest package is 1.5 lac per annum. About 30% of students get placed. I don't go for placement as I have to pursue a btech after that.
Fees and Financial Aid
As our college is government, fees are very less as compared to private colleges. So there is nothing to worry about the fees. Post matric scholarship is there for you to help with financial problems. You can apply for placement when the company organizes any placements.
Campus Life
Yes, there are many programs like the annual fest, farewell party, freshers party, etc. You can enjoy your college days. All types of books are available like fiction, nonfiction, and academic books. Sports and extracurricular activities are organized from time to time. No there is no social group, clubs, or website for students run by students.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are average as you have to share with one more guy. I suggest you live in a room in the hostel. The meal quality is good. You can opt for veg or nonveg food. Registration is done during your admission and the hostel charge is affordable.
Admission
I have given the entrance exam conducted by piece. I got Ur 388 rank and was selected for a diploma in civil engineering at the government polytechnic gulzarbagh Patna. It is a three-year course. The eligibility criteria are 10th from any board. You can get all the necessary details from the piece site.
