Entrance Preview

I got admission on the basis of my best scores in entrance exam. I was suggested this college by my one of the best friend who also studied from this college.

Placement Experience

Placement department is one of the hard working departments of our college. They gave us good training made us prepare for the campus recruitment. But this training is especially for engineer job only. This department is also very good in placing in other departments.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got scholarship of 2500/- in my first year and college never directly helped in education loan but there is chance for getting loan from govt banks which requires fee structure which is to be given by college they help in providing it.

Campus Life

Our Mentors help to resolve and avoid potential problems and also help students to blossom and realize their true potential. Challenges are more common amongst the students. The capacity to face them and to achieve success, they need motivation, this motivation is provided through constant encouragement by our dedicated staff mentors.

Alumni/Alumna

The objectives of the Alumni Association is to promote and foster relationship between alumni and the institute actively and constructively participate in the well being of MSEC, by utilizing the good-will, rich experience and services of the alumni Institute scholarships, prizes/medals etc.

Faculty

We have a minimum of 5 Ph.d faculty in every department. They will always be available and ready help us when ever we go for doubts. They are very supportive. They maintain good relationship with us. They are so experienced that they never use any books while teaching with over 15 years experience in teaching.

LIFE AT NITK

Placement Experience:

Placements at NITK Surathkal are very good overall, and the EEE department consistently sees a high percentage of students getting placed-85% to 90%+ However the placement profiles and salaries vary a lot depending on whether you go core electrical jobs , software/IT jobs we students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester companies start arriving fro pre placement talks and tests ,some students also get PPOs done in the 3rd year summer internshis companies visiting nitk for eee students are: TEXAS INSTRUMENTS SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC SIEMENS ABB L&T TATA POWER BOSCH. My personal plans after getting degree is either get placed in a good company then later prepare for civils services examination.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The VTU syllabus was bit difficult to crack, but the course we good , it was a fun studing the syllabus, but the syllabus was not related to the placement, we struggle a lot to get placed in the final year

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since my kcet rank was low I want a good clg so I choose this college I choose electrical and electronics. also I'm very interested in electrical department I wanted eee branch so I choose this Curriculum actually helps you to learn and solve real world problems since it's a core branch you have to concentrate on our syllabus. We get to learn lot of things also we have 4 labs there you can learn practically . In our clg they additionally we have lab Called skill lab there you can learn lot of things additionally . I feel they should add some programming language as subject in eee additionally even though we learn that in 1st year there should be continuous so . Even our colleges provide boot camps for 10 days every sem where experienced trainer will come and teach you but I feel that's not enough they have include programming languages as our part of curriculum. In internals they provide 1hour time for for 30 marks and sem exams 3hr for 100 marks so it's manageable .

It's GOOD

It's a private college, having no entrance exam but they take admission based on jee mains or Karnataka-based entrance exams. College has more students by management quota than any exam. They take more fees from those who took admission by any entrance exam. They took all my documents at addmission time - specially all the documents of 12th. The base fee was 60000 in 2018. They increases their fee 70000 in 2020. Department deals with each student about fees, even if they aggred for 120000. They are taking all the documents so later student can't leave the college in any situation. But overall If you want to take admission in 2021 then you should deal for 65k to 75k but not more than that. You should not dream that it's a big college or you are going in a great place, it's a average college....Read More
