Entrance Preview

I done some research and found out this college. The college is one of the few colleges which provides good facilities and had good set of lecturers.

Internships Opportunities

Regarding placement, we got some 4-5 companies for our colleges alone. We attended few off campus interviews as well where our college students got opportunity. Now I came to know that our college is getting good organisations for placement.

Placement Experience

Training for the students start right from the 1st Semester of their course, which includes Aptitude, Technical and Soft Skills. A separate curriculum is designed for training, as per the students needs. Experts from various sectors are invited to the campus to interact with students and keep them updated about the recent trends in the industry.

Fees and Financial Aid

They offer scholarships for poor students or students from certain communities as part of govt schemes. But I never heard or seen of any thing from college.

Campus Life

The Central Library is available for the use of all members of MSEC. Its Working hours are 9.00am to 4.15pm Monday through Saturday. The MSEC Central Library aims to providing access to its Printed resources such as Books, Journals and Magazines as well as Electronic Resources for the use of faculty and Students at the college campus.

As mentioned above, Faculty is good. And they are encouraging and guided us well. I strongly feel Engineering student should be self driven and should not dependent of lecturers. They can only guide you but not feed you the stuff.

LIFE AT NITK

Placement Experience:

Placements at NITK Surathkal are very good overall, and the EEE department consistently sees a high percentage of students getting placed-85% to 90%+ However the placement profiles and salaries vary a lot depending on whether you go core electrical jobs , software/IT jobs we students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester companies start arriving fro pre placement talks and tests ,some students also get PPOs done in the 3rd year summer internshis companies visiting nitk for eee students are: TEXAS INSTRUMENTS SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC SIEMENS ABB L&T TATA POWER BOSCH. My personal plans after getting degree is either get placed in a good company then later prepare for civils services examination.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The VTU syllabus was bit difficult to crack, but the course we good , it was a fun studing the syllabus, but the syllabus was not related to the placement, we struggle a lot to get placed in the final year

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since my kcet rank was low I want a good clg so I choose this college I choose electrical and electronics. also I'm very interested in electrical department I wanted eee branch so I choose this Curriculum actually helps you to learn and solve real world problems since it's a core branch you have to concentrate on our syllabus. We get to learn lot of things also we have 4 labs there you can learn practically . In our clg they additionally we have lab Called skill lab there you can learn lot of things additionally . I feel they should add some programming language as subject in eee additionally even though we learn that in 1st year there should be continuous so . Even our colleges provide boot camps for 10 days every sem where experienced trainer will come and teach you but I feel that's not enough they have include programming languages as our part of curriculum. In internals they provide 1hour time for for 30 marks and sem exams 3hr for 100 marks so it's manageable .

It's GOOD

It's a private college, having no entrance exam but they take admission based on jee mains or Karnataka-based entrance exams. College has more students by management quota than any exam. They take more fees from those who took admission by any entrance exam. They took all my documents at addmission time - specially all the documents of 12th. The base fee was 60000 in 2018. They increases their fee 70000 in 2020. Department deals with each student about fees, even if they aggred for 120000. They are taking all the documents so later student can't leave the college in any situation. But overall If you want to take admission in 2021 then you should deal for 65k to 75k but not more than that. You should not dream that it's a big college or you are going in a great place, it's a average college....Read More
