Entrance Preview

I took JEE and secured seat in this college this college is best in class and infrastructure of this college is amazing so many other facilities are provided by the college.

Campus Life

Campus has great library. Newly arrived journals and Magazines cannot be issued out of the Library before a specified period. All Journals, magazines or Newspapers subscribed by the Library are not being issued before the period specified on the item. MSEC Central Library subscribes to online full text Journals & Resources. It regularly adds new Journals & Resources to the Collection for the benefits & easy access to all the users. This service is available to all M.S.Engineering College Network users.

Hostel Facilities

Best infrastructure everything comes under it every hostel needs maintenance for good going our college have the best mechanism in maintaining the hostels we have numerous blocks for student's separately to stay happily and they treat like family coming to food they prepare food hygiene. They won't mugup with more members in a room they are limited to 2,3,4 persons for room for better feelings.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Everyone must know about this thing still I contact everyone who left this college who we call alumni. They help us to step on the career ladders to pull us up where we can help each other and others.

LIFE AT NITK

Placement Experience:

Placements at NITK Surathkal are very good overall, and the EEE department consistently sees a high percentage of students getting placed-85% to 90%+ However the placement profiles and salaries vary a lot depending on whether you go core electrical jobs , software/IT jobs we students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester companies start arriving fro pre placement talks and tests ,some students also get PPOs done in the 3rd year summer internshis companies visiting nitk for eee students are: TEXAS INSTRUMENTS SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC SIEMENS ABB L&T TATA POWER BOSCH. My personal plans after getting degree is either get placed in a good company then later prepare for civils services examination.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since my kcet rank was low I want a good clg so I choose this college I choose electrical and electronics. also I'm very interested in electrical department I wanted eee branch so I choose this Curriculum actually helps you to learn and solve real world problems since it's a core branch you have to concentrate on our syllabus. We get to learn lot of things also we have 4 labs there you can learn practically . In our clg they additionally we have lab Called skill lab there you can learn lot of things additionally . I feel they should add some programming language as subject in eee additionally even though we learn that in 1st year there should be continuous so . Even our colleges provide boot camps for 10 days every sem where experienced trainer will come and teach you but I feel that's not enough they have include programming languages as our part of curriculum. In internals they provide 1hour time for for 30 marks and sem exams 3hr for 100 marks so it's manageable .

It's GOOD

It's a private college, having no entrance exam but they take admission based on jee mains or Karnataka-based entrance exams. College has more students by management quota than any exam. They take more fees from those who took admission by any entrance exam. They took all my documents at addmission time - specially all the documents of 12th. The base fee was 60000 in 2018. They increases their fee 70000 in 2020. Department deals with each student about fees, even if they aggred for 120000. They are taking all the documents so later student can't leave the college in any situation. But overall If you want to take admission in 2021 then you should deal for 65k to 75k but not more than that. You should not dream that it's a big college or you are going in a great place, it's a average college....Read More
