Remarks

There are no gender ratios, people celebrate birthdays and festivals in friendly environment. Each people respect the other room mates culture and mingle each other. People don't differentiate each of their friends by economic status but the really support each other when they are in need.

Entrance Preview

I have appeared for JEE entrance exam and my score was pretty much ok. I choose this college because this has good name in industry.

Internships Opportunities

When I started studying we don't have any companies offering stipend but our college made agreement with private firm to teach and train us in practical projects. After that college provide internships in 2 3 companies and i also done 1 internship which was good.

Placement Experience

Yes, placement facility is provided by the college. To take feedback from industry and provide inputs for curriculum. To make MSEC the favorite destination for all Industries. To strive towards 100% placements.

Campus Life

A expert Physical Education Director heads the department. The students are encouraged to choose any game of their interest & adequate coaching for the same will be given by the respective coaches. For the overall development of the students indoor & outdoor sports facilities are also provided.

I know many student follow alumni but I am connected much with this alumni as I am busy with my professional life. But I have heard some good feedback from my friends shared about their visit to the college after longtime.

Most of the faculty are excellent and very experienced about 15+ years in teaching field. They teach the lesson with practical examples so that students can implement them in their real life.

LIFE AT NITK

Placement Experience:

Placements at NITK Surathkal are very good overall, and the EEE department consistently sees a high percentage of students getting placed-85% to 90%+ However the placement profiles and salaries vary a lot depending on whether you go core electrical jobs , software/IT jobs we students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester companies start arriving fro pre placement talks and tests ,some students also get PPOs done in the 3rd year summer internshis companies visiting nitk for eee students are: TEXAS INSTRUMENTS SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC SIEMENS ABB L&T TATA POWER BOSCH. My personal plans after getting degree is either get placed in a good company then later prepare for civils services examination.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since my kcet rank was low I want a good clg so I choose this college I choose electrical and electronics. also I'm very interested in electrical department I wanted eee branch so I choose this Curriculum actually helps you to learn and solve real world problems since it's a core branch you have to concentrate on our syllabus. We get to learn lot of things also we have 4 labs there you can learn practically . In our clg they additionally we have lab Called skill lab there you can learn lot of things additionally . I feel they should add some programming language as subject in eee additionally even though we learn that in 1st year there should be continuous so . Even our colleges provide boot camps for 10 days every sem where experienced trainer will come and teach you but I feel that's not enough they have include programming languages as our part of curriculum. In internals they provide 1hour time for for 30 marks and sem exams 3hr for 100 marks so it's manageable .

It's GOOD

It's a private college, having no entrance exam but they take admission based on jee mains or Karnataka-based entrance exams. College has more students by management quota than any exam. They take more fees from those who took admission by any entrance exam. They took all my documents at addmission time - specially all the documents of 12th. The base fee was 60000 in 2018. They increases their fee 70000 in 2020. Department deals with each student about fees, even if they aggred for 120000. They are taking all the documents so later student can't leave the college in any situation. But overall If you want to take admission in 2021 then you should deal for 65k to 75k but not more than that. You should not dream that it's a big college or you are going in a great place, it's a average college....Read More
