What Students Say

Likes

College Atmosphere
Got good education
Good placements

Dislikes

Faculties are strict
We can't bunk classes
Less fee would be good

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

We used to have 3 Internal Exams which will be out of 50. This will be divided into 30-20 for practical exams. Assignment plays a major role. That also included in that 20 marks out of 50. Then we will be having semester exams for 75 marks. Other 25 marks they will segregate from the internal marks. So it's very difficult to score good marks. We need to study a lot to get a good CGPA.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Many of our students went to multi-national companies for Internships for their projects. They used to learn from the company how they work and the structure of the company and about the project they do in a period of six months. Companies would provide stipends for those students.

Placement Experience

4.5

From the 6th semester, we were eligible for the campus placement. Companies like CTS, L&T, TCS, Wipro, and Syntel visited our campus and provided good opportunities for most of our students. The highest package was given by CTS. 300000 per annum. 80 percent of the students got placed. I went to a job after pursuing a degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are comparatively equal to other best colleges in Tamilnadu. If they reduce it will be better for the parents and students. We got a good education from SRM University. We had a campus Interview and got placed in a Multinational company with a good salary.

Campus Life

4.5

SRMITS is a social club. This is beyond the classroom, and the activities performed by the students. We get lots of books in the library. We bought only fewer books. Professors take notes from different books and we are more knowledgeable. Ventilation and air quality classrooms Sports like football, and cricket are trained for the students and they got trophies as well.

Admission

Yes. The fees need to be reduced. Scholarship needs to be based on the marks should be more than that caste-based. Donations should not be there. Instead of donations, you can make the students write a test to enter college.

Overall Good Experience at EEC

Likes

good infrastructure, clean campus and well equipped classrooms and labs.
Faculty members are supportive and explain concepts clearly with practical examples.
Good placement opportunities, career guidance and opportunities to participate in activities.

Dislikes

The workload can be huge sometimes, especially during examinations and project submissions.
some subjects could include more practical and industry-oriented learning
More campus activities and student interactions opportunities would improve campus life.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

This is the best college overall

Likes

The curriculum provided is really nice and understandable.
It is relevant and is effective as well.
The boy girl ratio is on the other hand a little less as in 45:15.

Dislikes

The way some facilities behave with students is really bad especially in our branch.
Some facilities are too rude and they often don’t want to listen to students point of view

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Training and Career development at CIT

Likes

In my college , I experienced diversed equality and gained more knowledge by training staffs and assessments

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Placement Experience:

Chennai Institute of Technology is an instituition that truly prioritizes student career growth . They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. The department faculty are equally commnedable ,knowledgable ,approachable and genuinely invested in student career. Overall CIT is an excellent choice for anyone focused on building a strong and sucessful career
