Eligibility: Passed intermediate with physics, chemistry, and maths to take admission in bachelor of science in physics honors. We can find the application form on the kolhan University's website named chancellor portal. Application fees 100. The application date begins after the results of the 12th. Reservation: reservation is available for SC, ST, and obc category students.

Course Curriculum Overview

I want to be an engineer, so I choose this course. The number of art students is more here than in the other streams. Teaching method offline here in the classes. The teachers are very supportive here. Exams are conducted here per semester. In one year there are two exams in two semesters.

Class Size: 130Course Fees: INR 1400 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are not costly here as I can say that it's affordable for poor students. It's a good college that provides quality education at minimum fees. The name of the scholarship is e Kalyan, which is a government scheme. We got scholarships per year during graduation.

Campus Life

First, in January, our college conducted our annual cultural program, and in February we celebrate our festival called Vasant Panchami on our college campus. After that in March-April, there is Holi and some tribal festival of our state is celebrated here. Here we have a Library with the availability of all types of books. Sports like cricket, kabaddi, football, etc. played by the students. We have also our college teams. Social groups like NSS are run by our students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate the course curriculum decent because it cover the basic engineering concepts that made me choose this course and it prepare us okay for real-world or higher study, but still more practical work and updated teaching method needed, and exams come mostly every semester with some internals which are moderate tough but manageable with regular study. There are some teachers who teach very well and have good teaching methods.

A Real Student Experience at DEC

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course curriculum is okay and the basics are covered well, which is one reason I choose this branch, but some subjects feel outdated and not fully connected to real industry work. It prepare us for further studies more than practical jobs. Exams come every semester with internals in between, difficulty is moderate but few papers become tricky. I think more practical topics, updated labs and better teaching methods will make the curriculum more useful...

Placement Experience:

In my college the placement system is not very strong because no big companies actually visit our campus. Students become eligible from 5th semester but still there is no regular campus drive. Sometimes small local garages or workshops come but they dont offer proper package, mostly they give training type work with very low salary. So there is nothing like highest or average package in my college, and only around 5–10% students manage to get some kind of job through their own contacts or relatives. Most of the students prefer to go for B.Tech or prepare for govt exams after diploma because campus placement is almost not there. My plan after completing the course is also to study further and look for better opportunities outside, since my college does not provide strong placement support. Overall placement in my college is weak and needs lot good improvement but the vishal sir is very good to get job for for others

Placement Experience:

One of my colleges best features is its placements program, which offers fantastic chances for students to launch their carrers. In the fifth and sixth semesters, students are prepared with aptitude training sessions, group discussions, and resume construction. About 85% of qualified pupils were placed during the previoes school year. Compared to core engieering fields, placements rates were marginally higher in IT branches.

A glimpse of my college life.

I preferred this college out of all the other colleges because whatever subject which I was opting for was best taught here. Not only that, all the other colleges stand no where in comparison to it. The teacher here at least come to the campus and teach something. But in other colleges, the teachers don't even come. There's only a one percent chance of the teachers to conduct classes. There is no discipline and no proper way of maintaining the facilities. Other colleges of our area only focus on organising events rather than teacher. I did not face rejection from any of the colleges which I had applied to. But, found the current one a perfect match for my requirement. At first, in order to get an admission in the university, a student has to fill in a form online at the chancellor portal. Then after a month the college issues the provincial list. After which the student has to go to the department and submit the documents along the the admission form filled online. Next the student has to self-attest all the documents and submit in the office for a stamp, again all these approved documents are to be brought to the department for another approval.
