Remarks

JEE mains was conducted followed by JEE Advanced and l got a good rank in the advanced and then proceeded with counseling which was of 6 rounds. I finally got Chemical Engg. in IIT Roorkee which is a 4-year B. Tech. Course. I also got reservation benefits as l belong to the OBC category and got this college at a category rank of 5200.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because of my interest in Chemistry but after the first class, it's more of Physics and Maths rather than Chemistry. Faculty are qualified and knowledgeable but not that interactive. We mostly go for YouTube videos for our academics because it's so difficult to get into the flow of lectures. Our first semester lasts just for 3 months, classes started on 27th Oct and we had Mid Term Exams from 9th to 13th Dec and now we are having End Term from 1st to 8th Feb.

Placement Experience

The placement is quite good. The highest package from our course was 36 lakhs, the average was 13 lakhs and the lowest was 8 lakhs. This offer was for those who went for core placements. Students who opted for tech got the highest package of 78 lakhs.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is high indeed but if your income is less than 5 lakhs you get a fee waiver and you just have to pay one-third of the tuition fee. Also, if your family income is less than 1 lakh you get a full waiver I.e., you don't have to pay any tuition fee.

Campus Life

Cognizance, Shristi, and Thodi are some of the fests of IIT Roorkee. There any many clubs which you can join depending on your interest Hacking clubs, literary clubs, fine arts, robotics, everything is here. IlT-R has a huge library with a vast collection of books.

"Overall, a satisfying college experience"

Placement Experience:

In our college students become elegible for placement after 5th and 6th sem . Preplacement drive such as aptitude test , coding session, group discussion may start from 4th sem . I'm not sure wether i take placement from my college or by myself but my goal after completing my degree is to take a repotative job as software engineer.

The feeling of being in IIT Roorkee

Placement Experience:

Placements are good as you all know its IIT. The avg package of all branches is still around 20 LPA . For CS its around 35-40 LPA. And for all other branches its greater than 15 LPA. Im a first year student so i have not seated in placement but there are so many companies that visit iit roorkee for placements, like google,microsoft, ibm, oracle, etc Highest package secured by a student this year is 1.5 crore. Nearly 95 percent of students get placed every year for sure. My plans after degree is to get placed and do my job.

Is it one of the best private college ?

Placement Experience:

Placements are really good here many companies comes at campus every year each year the number of companies increases and the highest package is about 32LPA and students are allowed from 7 semester to enroll in campus placement program 100% placement is assured if u are scoring more than 7.5 CGPA and having no backlogs at all my plans are to get degree and try to get the campus placement if possible

Life around Campus

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.tech Cse course is good as I see that AI rises quickly in this generation which looks good for future. College must increase lab for more practical exercises in labs for better learning, Timings must ne atleast 2 to 3 hour's for better learning.

Overall good college according to fees

Placement Experience:

After completing second year means 4 th semester the students usually start to do the internship and usually the students from 5-6 semester become eligible for the campus placements , there are various companies that visited here like wipro, microsoft, hdfc , intallipat, etc . I don't know about the number of offers but the highest package offered here was 40 lakhs per annum.

I choose this college because it is a GFTIs college and here the curriculum is good and structured in a right direction . The curriculum prepares us very well about the real - world application based problems and it too good . IIT ROORKEE - A SCRUPULOUS REVIEW

Placement Experience:

Iit roorkee provide better Placement opportunities than any other college. It has it's placement and intership cell . Gold man Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, graviton and quantbox are the big recruiters which visit my college. Placement are good with average package of 1800000 per annum. If someone don't get on campus then cell helps in getting off campus placement. Enormous amd strong alumini network helps in getting off campus placement.

I didnt applied for any other colleges other than some iits which were iit bombay, kanpur, roorkee, guwahati. Just these four and nothing because i got a decent rank in JEE Adv 2025. IIT ROORKEE - A SCRUPULOUS REVIEW

I took part in jossa councelling and got it . I was happy with any of seven old iits . In better way , i would be happy in going any top iit. Moreover i choose it because of it's weather and location. Rest all things are similar to all top iits. Nothing is less in iit roorkee. You have to give jee main then jee advanced. 1st year opinion of IIT Roorkee

I took admission from JEE (Main+Advance).Form could be found on NTA website. Some reservation benefits were , i got a bit higher brancher even though my rank was lower. Mains timing are morning shift and evening shift. As for advance it runs all day for 6 hours(with a break of 2 hour in between). Mains is easy , advance is a bit difficult....Read More

IIT Roorkee - all abouts

JEE advanced has to be cleared to get into any IIT. For the branch I'm in, the crl should be around 4k for general boys and 8-9k for general girls. Application fees increase every year at least from my time till now it is increasing and now it is more than 1000 for girls and around 2000 for boys(general)....Read More
