Remarks :

as I pursued BCom from kj somaiya of arts and commerce the minimum percentage that was required for this course was 40 percent. as I secured 92 percent I was eligible for this course and I applied from the same college from which I completed my 12th. applications were been displayed on the college website where we have to apply for our desired course and submit it and within 1-2 days we would have been informed if we are selected for it or not. the fee structure for BCom in my college was 10500 which I think was quite affordable. reservation benefits were only for minorities and also for Gujaratis. I think application process was quite easy and I don't think there is any need for improvements

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose the course because I thought along with my degree study I can learn many other things that can give a boost to my career and apart from that the main reason was financial problems. I personally think the faculty was okay. teachers were not that good and students were not able to understand what teachers were teaching. the student ratio was 130-150 students per class which I think was not appropriate. my opinion about teachers was not that great. I personally was not a fan of their teaching and half the time teachers were confused related to their subjects. I absolutely didn't like the teaching methods of teachers except for a teacher. the exam was not that difficult to pass and mostly half-yearly exams are conducted every 3 months of the cirriculam.

Internships Opportunities :

I have not applied for any internships from college so I don't have an idea about the roles that are offered by them but at least I can assure u all that our college is approached by top companies and minimum packages start from 50000 to 100000.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

fees were quite affordable as I pursued BCom. it was nearly 10000 which was good in my opinion. so as I am a second-year student I don't have that much knowledge right now but I can assure you that our college gives good placements to the students but the main problem is from 2000 students that are enrolled for placements and from that only 10 or 15 are selected. maybe last to last year 46 companies approached our college for placements such as Microsoft, Deloitte, Accenture, Google, and many more.

Campus Life :

the fest which is conducted by our college is sooner which is conducted in the month of December. we also have a library which can be accessed by all the students. if a student wants a desired book he/she can issue the book for a given time period, apart from that there are penalties that are issued by the library if the book is not handed over to the librarian within time. amenities in the classroom are okay as it's a government-aided college so we can't expect much but basic requirements are been fulfilled by the college. apart from curriculum, there are some extracurricular activities for which notices are circulated in Whatsapp groups. there are many social groups that are run by students, among them are NCC and NSS units STC

Other Applied Colleges

Kelkar Education Trust's V.G. Vaze College of Arts Science and Commerce | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com]

because i was not shortlisted in 1st list thats why i opted for somaiya

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i wanted to have the knowledge about share market how it works and its perks. This course offered you the knowledge you needed for the share market. The curriculum prepared us by taking exams and tests. The important point to be noted is they used to take references from NSE and BSE. I didn't find any areas which should be improved all the things were on point. They used to conduct tests every 2-3 weeks. Which was very helpful for memorizing the content.

The college placement is good because that is government college and provide good placement and internship opportunities for students who have skills and good knowledge. They have not to worry too much about placement atleast they have to score above 6 or 7 cgpa for good package
