Remarks
The admission process is less complicated compared to other colleges, there was an entrance exam. As I wanted to join evening college the major requirement was of 2-year of work experience after matriculation.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course range in this polytechnic is more in day college but not for evening college as there are only two branches Electrical and electronics and Mechanical engineering. The Faculty is well qualified with decades of teaching experience. They prepare us thoroughly before exams so it's easy to pass with our minimum effort.
Internships Opportunities
They provide internships in Toyota Kirloskar, Beml, bhel, and Bosch. Some companies provide stipends and some do not the main intention has to be to gain knowledge from the reputed companies. They conduct industrial visits and internships in hydroelectric powerplants, thermal powerplants, KPTCL etc
Placement Experience
They provide internships and placements to registered MNCs. The PMs Job mela occurs twice yearly which gives the students a platform to get into an interview and get placed in the company. The placements happen to the students who are in the 6th semester. The highest package offered by a company is 5lakhs per annum and the avg is 3lakhs. My plan after completing my diploma is to join Btech.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is 13000 per year which approximately takes 6000 Per semester. You can apply for government scholarships too. As it encourages students to save money for projects or even to advance their skill sets.
Campus Life
The availability of books in the library is good and they provide us with an ID card for entering to the library. There are many informative and technical books which require personal interest to blend in. There are specified classrooms for each branch and Labs to perform practicals. There is an Auditorium for gatherings and a playground for playing cricket, badminton, football etc. There is an NCC regiment of Mei polytechnic.
