MEI Polytechnic Bangalore Admission

Admissions to MEI Polytechnic are given as per the guidelines provided by the State Government under the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE). The counselling is conducted by Directorate of Technical Education. The Admission Process is purely based on basis of marks scored by the candidates in previous Exams, which starts from an offline application process.

Application Process

Application forms can be taken from the college after the admission notification is released.
The application forms can be submitted at any document’s verification centre where the verification of the Documents also take place.
After the verification procedure, a common merit list is announced for the whole state.
Candidates are given Admission as per the merit list prepared and the choices Filled by them at the counselling centres.

Students belonging to SC/ST category are given 100% Scholarship on Tuition Fee. But their family Income should be less than INR 2.5lakh/annum.
Additional 5% seats in every department are reserved under Supernumerary Quota (SNQ). The tuition fee of the students of this quota is waived off. But the students taking Admission in this quota, cannot change their course. And their family Income must be less than4.5lakh/annum.
The students who want to get the benefits of these Scholarships should submit the related documents as per the information provided by the college administration.

Likes

The vast campus, it does get us to keep our electronic devices aside for a while

Dislikes

The students, most of them are not serious a out their studies
Well there's nothing else to be disliked about this college

Admission:

Like I said, I did not originally want to get into diploma. I actually wanted to get in RV for my 11th and 12th, but got into diploma due to my parents. I only opted for MEI and got my admission confirmed as I was quite confident due to my 10th marks. Yeah MEI was the only college I applied and hence I got into it without a rejection. All you need is your 10th marksheet and a few other credentials in order to get into this college. You'll need atleast 75% to get into CSE. The admission process was quite easier than I thought it'd be

Very big campus,filled with greenery and every department in different building

Dislikes

Nothing much to dislike this college...and it is a good college
No reason to dislike ,and it is a good college for all students

Admission:

The addmission process is very simple and fast if the students score a very good marks in 10th exam they make their admission fast. Their is no entrance exam..The application will be at the college official website.

Admission:

The admission process is less complicated compared to other colleges, there was an entrance exam. As I wanted to join evening college the major requirement was of 2-year of work experience after matriculation.

Eligibility of the course is 10th pass, and there is selection process is by merit systems and by caste category system for that we want to apply application for the selection. There is 5 rounds of the selection process in order for many students can get opportunity to study the course.

If by “2 PUC with a course of science” you mean you have completed Pre-University Course (PUC II) with science stream (i.e., 10+2), then no, you are not eligible for lateral entry (direct 2nd year diploma) at MEI Polytechnic, Bangalore. Lateral entry seats are reserved for candidates who have passed ITI or JTS (3-year technical trade course) recognized by Govt. of Karnataka

For Polytechnic Electrical Diploma, you need to have passed 10^th with minimum 35% marks. MEI Polytechnic Bangalore is a government college. The admission process is based on merit.
