Remarks
I feel that some changes can be made in fees structure and some more efforts should be given for the overall development of the students.
Entrance Preview
My selection in the college was on the basis of my percentage in class 12th I scored 94.75% at ISC Board Examination I opted for Anand because my brother did his B.Tech from this college and due to some reasons i could not leave my home town so it appeared to me as the best option available to me.
Course Curriculum Overview
One could not say that life of college is easy or one need not to study in college Specially in 1st yr, we got more attention from the teachers than we used to get in school. One teacher would not leave the class and other was always waiting at the door. Course Curriculum depends more on university rules.
Internships Opportunities
The internship opportunities provided by our college rather depends on the branch in which you are. Common or blooming branches students get more access to internship opportunities like Computer Science, Mechanical etc.
Placement Experience
Placement and Job opportunities what i feel depends on branch more There are numerous opportunities for CSE and ME students with fewer less for EE, BT etc In my breach that is CSE many good companies visited the campus or our seniors were sent for interviews for companies like TCS, Mahindra Infotech, IBM, etc with job offers of 3-5 and a 6 lakhs per annum to few.
College Events
The annual fest of the college is called CEREBRUM. A Techno Cultural 3-5 days fest, with activities going on in every corner of the college from 8 morning till 12 at night. There is something for every one cultural, technical, sports everything. The DJ and cultural night do lack the glitters that the DU friends boast But its best one can get in the city. Apart from this, there are clubs and they keep cooking something thought the year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure is rather hefty, about 1.2 lakhs per year buses and hostel fees extra so its hits hard on on some parents pockets. But yes If you are a resident of the state with a family income of less than 1 lakhs 50 thousand, u'll get scholarship from state government of about 50 thousand.
Fees and Financial Aid
Only Government scholarship and branch toppers get a sum of 3000,1800 1st and 2nd respectively. I also got a discount in 1st year fees for my good grades in 12th.
Campus Life
Campus is seriously huge and so is the life in the campus Lots of places to hang around and create good memories. Gender ration may be about 35-40 % girls. CS department and BBA have a lot of them while scarcity in ME and civil. One get a great diversity of students from every part of country and some from countries like Nepal and Bhutan also. Most of the kids belong to middle class families with a soul aim to get good job.
Hostel Facilities
Being a day scholar i lack personal experience in this case but as heard from friends the mess food is not tasty with a very stubborn menu. Hostel facility is good, airy rooms and a good life as whole. And with few excellent Dhabas sticking to the college, the problem of food is solved.
Alumni/Alumna
I personally don't have the habit of being much in contact with the seniors but the alumni network in quite strong . Even my brother has done B.Tech from this college and he is right now in US working for Hilton Hotels as team lead.
Exam Structure
2 university examinations in an year Odd semester and Even demister We have to give 3 class tests before the final examination and the marks of the tests form the internals. It gets hectic sometimes specially at the end of the semester But this test structure prepares us well for the tough university examination.
Admission
I got the admission through a Direct Process Went to the city office of SGI group at Bhagwan Talkies Crossing, Agra where the counselors guided me though the admission process. Due to my good grades admission was simple I got my preferred branch with some scholarship.
Faculty
The best part of the faculty is that one get connected to them. They are excellent human beings who with technical support are always ready for counseling and motivation, specially the faculty of 1st year. From 2nd year onward there is a decrease in spoon feeding, which is also good and sometimes required.
