LAWCET. 1059 Rank. The college is in the heart of Hyderabad and it has a reputation in Private law colleges
Course Curriculum Overview
I did LL.B and as well as LL.M (Constitution) in the same college. I am basically an Engineer who have found love for Law as a subject and decided to pursue law as a subject out of interest. I have specialized in Constitutional Law in LL.M and this is purely based on the interest and love for the subject.
Internships Opportunities
The Stipend is based on Government provisions and Based On Economical and Social Backwardness. The Private organizations do not provide any Stipend
Placement Experience
Law is such a profession, where students should be willing to go through the grind and assume that it is 3+10 years study rather than assuming it to be 3 year course and you will start earning decently once you move out of college; and I believe is an excellent course for those who are willing to invest time and energy and the sky is the limit for students with skill and attitude. Even if the students do not want to practice , these days there are lot of job opportunities in Banks and LPOs; Significant number of PRR law college students have been picked up by reputed banks and LPOs with decent salary
College Events
The College holds multiple festivals 1. Fresher's Day to welcome new students 2. Annual Day celebrations 3. Graduation Ceremony 4. Sports events 5. Moot Courts 6. Inter College Competitions The college Faculty encourages students to participate in various events and is a mix that allows every type of student participation
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is decided by the government and my take on this is that the fee structure is very reasonable and also the college allows one to pay in installments. Following are the numbers that I remember LL.B: Is about Rs 11,000 per annum if you get through LAWCET else it is double the amount (I am unaware of The latest numbers) LL.M: Rs 22000 per annum and Rs 30000 respectively
Fees and Financial Aid
The scholarship is based on Government provisions and Based On Economical and Social Backwardness. The Private organizations do not provide any scholarship
Campus Life
The Campus Life Meets the needs of all Student Types; there could be working Professionals and as well as young graduates. It provides a perfect platform for young students to build a network with professionals and is an opportunity in itself if groomed. The extra curricular activities includes 1. Annual Days 2. Sports Meet 3. Moot Courts 4. Graduation Ceremonies where students are handed over Graduation certificates and gold medals
Hostel Facilities
This is not a residential college; hence there are no hostel facilities. The accommodation has to be taken care by the individual; since PRR is centrally located in Hyderabad, one should find decent accommodation and as well as share it with other students
Alumni/Alumna
I have made good Network in the college who are currently in Various strata of the Society. PRR has a reputation of Having its students in good positions in Government
Exam Structure
Semester system of Examination, with two internal exams and 1 external exam conducted by Osmania University for every semester; with 20% marks for internals and rest 80% for externals. In LL.M one has to submit a thesis on the subject of choice; which is evaluated by University faculty and carries a significant weight-age.
Admission
Qualified through state Entrance Exam (LAWCET). The admission process was based on Government mandated admission process, you get to chose college based on the rank you obtained in the entrance exam. 1. Prepare for LAWCET exam (Wait for Notification every Year) 2. Obtain a Rank. 3. Once you obtain a rank, you will be called for admission process 4. Based on the rank, one will get a chance to chose the college In addition to this There is a management quota; where people can join by approaching College management directly
Faculty
Constitutional Law is taught by a Dr.Shankar Rao Sir; who I consider an excellent and a very Knowledgeable person on Constitution. One would love to attend his classes. He was principal of PRR law college earlier but moved to NALSAR , but still teaches Constitutional Law in PRR
