Remarks

KEM is all about study, JJ is all about fun, Sion is a mix of both. I love this place. I enjoy studying here. This is the best Medical institution in Maharashtra. Go for it if you get it. No college is perfect. You will feel a bit embarrassing in the beginning but believe me as the days pass you will love this place for sure. Cheers!

Entrance Preview

I passed MH-CET entrance exam in 2015 and got this amazing college. From this year onwards you will get admission through NEET only as all other exams are scrapped as per the supreme court orders. There is something special in this field which has attracted me the most since I was a child. I wanted to be a doctor and I am living my dream today!

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The college is attached to MUHS, Nashik. The course is of 4.5 years duration with a compulsory 1 year rotatory internship. You get a very good exposure of various cases as this hospital caters to the most number of patients in Mumbai. The curriculum is same in all the colleges in Maharashtra

Internships Opportunities

There is a compulsory 1 year internship which you have to complete. The stipend is still 6000 rs only but expected to increase shortly. Internship in Sion is considered to be the toughest because the patient load is huge but the best part is you can master your skills here.

Placement Experience

3.5

You can expect a handsome career after completing your degree. Many hospitals offer a very good salary to M.B.B.S. doctors. Almost everyone wants to become a specialist after M.B.B.S. Salary after doing PG is even better. So you can rest assured that your future is secured

College Events

3.5

We celebrate our annual cultural event Ashwamedh which is grand. This is the most memorable period of the year. Trinity is the All India medical conference held every year. The event can be called a medical extravaganza. We have SPL, SFL, GCL sport events as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

This is a government institution. So the annual fees you have to pay is much less as compared to private colleges. You need to pay 70000 per year if you are an OPEN candidate and the fee is less than 10000 per year for the reserved category students .

Fees and Financial Aid

Well there are a bunch of scholarships you can avail.Government of Maharashtra Indian Oil, India Bulls, IMA(Mumbai) all offer scholarships for needy students. You can also apply for a loan if required in any bank.

Campus Life

2.5

This is a government institution so don't expect top notch infrastructure. The campus is small but beautiful. The labs are pretty well maintained. The gender ratio is pretty good. The crowd here is amazing. Everyone is friendly. There are some exceptions of course.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

There is still no hostel facility for the first year students. You get hostel form second year onwards. The rooms are small and on a twin share basis. The mess is not available as well. You can go to a private mess or opt for tiffin services. Tiffin service is pretty good.

Alumni/Alumna

A very good senior junior relationship is what makes this place special. Our seniors are always willing to help. They are only a phone call away. I myself feel blessed to have such seniors. You will not find such an amazing environment in other colleges.

Exam Structure

Well becoming a doctor is no easy job. We have an internal exam in the end of each month which you have to pass in order to appear for the final exam which is conducted by the university at the end of the year. 2nd year is of 1.5 years duration. So you have 3 internal exams and a final exam. Exam period is hectic overall.

Admission

You need to attend a counselling round conducted by DMER or CBSE depending upon the exam you appeared for. The authority then publishes a selection list in which you are allotted a college based upon your preference. You need to report to the college immediately and get admitted. If you fail to report your admission is cancelled and you can't participate in further rounds if you want an upgrade.

Faculty

3

We have amazing teachers. They are very friendly and share a good rapport with students. The communication is mainly in English but they are happy to explain in other languages if you need. They are highly qualified as well! Some teachers as strict of course.

At first it may seem a very lenient college/administration, especially when the rival medical colleges in Mumbai are very strict but over the years you realize that it was for the better and the other college students suffer of inexperience, bookworm culture and unknown of "duniyadari".
