Remarks

The process was a little complicated as I was in the Covid batch, but we had an NCHM entrance exam through which we had allocated the seats of colleges. The cut-off for SIHM Indore was 8000 around and I got the rank of around 5000.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very good and the faculty members are very supportive. I choose this course because I have a passion for cooking which comes under the kitchen department. Here the faculty are highly qualified and the teaching method is productive and interactive.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Our college also offer great internship opportunities We have 3,4,&5 star hotel properties . The stipend of internship depends the property. Ritz Carlton , Taj , oberoi , JW Marriott , ITC etc Generally the basic stipend starts from 1000

Placement Experience

Our college offers placements every year in great retail and hotel properties. At least 80% of students get placements. We have McD, Domino's, barbeque nation, Taj, and Oberoi. I have planned to do a master's in culinary after my BSc degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is very affordable as per the IHMs and there are various scholarships for diff categories of caste. College provides financial assistance by giving sufficient time for the submission of fees. The college is lacking opportunities for campus jobs for the past 2 years due to Covid.

Campus Life

Campus Life is going great currently the curriculum and studies are on a flow basis. Our college has an annual fest but doesn't have tech fests. We have ample no. Of books in the library. Our college has a page name sihmindore on social media platform named Instagram.

My experience in IHM Bhopal

Placement Experience:

As far as the placement of colllege is concerned we had the job assisstance programme and at the placement big Hotel industries and MNC companies were invited and alo the airline like Air Asia. But I decide to switch my career for the UPSC and other competitive exams.

My IHM days…

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester on, students are trained mentally to participate in the placement process. The first step is to choose the representative who will take charge of the particular set of students for example their resume building, resume submission, informing students about the upcoming companies arrival in the institution for placements and the designations for which they are coming. Nearly from the 6th semester, placement process starts to take place. Name of the companies are: Taj hotels snd resorts Oberoi hotels and resorts Delhi duty free Arvind fashion Lemon tree hotels Madhuban resorts Club Mahindra Mariott hotels Starbucks Highest package was around 4.50lac/annum Average package was around 2.25lac/annum Nearly 77% students were placed from the colleges placements, few opted out for further studies. I was placed in Marriott Hotels.

Placement is very good But the placement package we get is 12-15k max That is not enough and is this corona time it's becoming very difficult. 50% of students get placed for 12-15k I will do mba After the hotel management cause with this package, I can not adjust

My life in an hotel industry

Placement Experience:

Form last semester 6 that is the final year final semester after that you are eligible for the placements. There are many companies and hotels with are a part of our college placement. College provides opportunities to be selected in the PI round and get a job at these hotels. Companies like Radisson blue, Marriot, and many more are a part of college placements. The interviewer will not select you on the basis of your looks or way of talking but also from the way you carry yourself, your skills, your way of handling things, knowledge and all sort of things.

My NCHM CT jee score 972 so I could also applied for the IHM Pusa but I applied in the SIHM indore because it was closure to my hometown Jabalpur.I could have chosen Bhopal but my parents suggested me not to go for IHM bhopal because of the city environment.Also I applied for IHM GWALIOR,IHM RAIPUR,IHM BHOPAL ,SIHM INDORE .I got selected for SIHM indore in the first round of counselling so there is no question for Rejection. Admission starts from getting suitable score from NCHMCT JEE exam conducted by NTA. If you want to apply for Hotel Management Courses the best way to get the college from NCHMCT. National Council for hotel Management and catering Technology. 21 Central Government Institute. 28 State Government Institute. 31 Private Institute. Eligibility- 12th Pass with 50% .English Mandatory. Application Form- On NCHMCT website. Open the form from January till March . Exam will be held in April or May.
