Remarks

The eligibility for the BJMC course is that the candidate must have at least 50% in 12th grade in any stream for admission, The application form is available online at the university site which is Rs 1000, there is not direct admission in this university firstly the candidate have to give an online entrance cum scholarship based exam for the admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I have chosen this course because my communication skills got improved, I can work on challenging projects, it has various career options in electronic and print media and no prior experience is required. The faculty of Quantum University is well experienced in their respective fields all are mostly PHD holders and IITians, the faculty is supportive and cooperative as well, and the exams are held semester wise like every 6 months.

Placement Experience

4

Quantum has a record of more than 90 placements to its students, in the last semester university provided internships also, and the companies also visits in the last semester the course, the highest package is 18 lacs per annum and the average is 7-8 lacs per annum, I have also got campus placement with good package and in Zee news.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees which I have studied are quite affordable and in the 2nd and 3 years the fees are being increased by 3 to 4 thousand from 1 st year, one can complete this course for just Rs 220000(only course fees). There are 2 criteria for scholarship for BJMC students, first on the basis of 12the grade and second, on the basis of the Q-care entrance exam conducted by the university for admission it is called a Q-care scholarship whichever is higher university offers that scholarship to a student, I have grabbed my Q care scholarship because I have scored in Q-care entrance exam.

Campus Life

4.5

There are many fests at Quantum University where students showcase their talents, like Kavyanjali, Abhivyakti, Dharohar etc. Qualmpics, sports, atheletics have been the integral part of the university, The books are always available in the library, i have not found any problem related to my studies in Quantum, the sports facilities are also available indoors outdoors both, there are extra curriculum activities as well, many passion programmes are there like singing, dancing, photography and theatre no student has to give up their passion for the studies

Hostel Facilities

5

There are separate hostels for boys and girls, and facilities like an almirah, bed, and study table are there in the room, Quantum provides all the facilities required by students, like living, laundry, lodging, 24 hrs wifi is available in the campus. There are 2 types of hostels AC and Non AC, the fees being paid semester wise Rs 41000 for Non AC and Rs 52000 for Ac rooms, the mess university offers a variety of veg foods and their menu also changes in very 15 days, the mess food charges already included in the hostel fees paid by the students, there is also paid cafeteria for the students who want to have some junk food or non-veg

From 5th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies visit our college every year and mostly all of the students are placed based on their capabilities. Highest package of mass communication is 16 LPA and average package of 4 LPA. My plans is to become a journalist after the completion of my course.

Our course circullim is extremely basic and I feel doesnt delve deeply into the course at hand. We have been allowed to choose our electives in our final year and I feel we should got an option to choose our electives in the second year to gain more exposure and clarity in the field we are interested in.

I'm not sure that what I'm do after schooling then i got to know about mass communication and journalism course. Some say you will be reporter, some say anchor, but my inner voice says barbaadi ki rah, like my colleagues are very disappointing person, actually not all but some. I enjoyed the college to the fullest and during my 2nd sem I left an exam and just have a mindest to give back for that paper, like seriously i just left the paper to feel how people or students do hardwork to clear thier back in exam, don't think that i didn't clear it, I passed it. Now I'm missing the college, the campus and etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was severely outdated, with least emphasis on the practical learning which is ironical for a course like Journalism and Mass communication. The emphasis was just on the theory lecture and even there not in a single semester the syllabus was completed on time.
