Remarks

The college management is similar to that of the Government of India. Very sloppy. Take time for everything. Even a small thing that takes a few minutes is postponed for days. The college being in a remote area had problems with accessibility.

Entrance Preview

I took EAMCET 2013 and scored 6735 rank. I was the top ranker of the class. You will even get into this class just by having 30k rank now. The reason to opt this college is it is a University College.

Course Curriculum Overview

0.5

The majority of the syllabus is out dated. Techniques that take a long time are being used. Laboratories are not available on campus. One needs to go to various colleges in the area to perform practicals. The course structure is not followed completely and is often taken easily by the visiting faculty. This only worsens the scenario. We get the filtered from the filtered. There is no research laboratory. Even a student with a motive of doing research will not be entertained or supported.

Internships Opportunities

No internships are provided. No companies visit this college for Civil Students. The visiting companies only intake students for IT jobs which are utterly pointless as the student knows civil but does IT. There will not be any support from the Principal also if any student is interested in getting an Internship outside the campus.

Placement Experience

0.5

NO COMPANIES COME TO THIS COLLEGE FOR CIVIL. Yes. No companies come to hire civil engineers as of now. IT giants hire for copy paste jobs which will definitely render the student useless afterward. The only job opportunity is to work hard for any state or central government exam and qualify. Other than that, there is also no recognition of the college in other cities. If selected in any IT company, the salary would be 15000INR to 20000INR. Out of 66 students, 3 were selected in TCS.

College Events

5

In 4 years, there were only 3 such festivals. One of which was canceled due to clashes between student groups. They are not so big. Only the college students and a few from surrounding areas take part. Even if a technical event is held, it is seen only as an opportunity to gamble rather than an opportunity to learn.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since this is a University College, the fee is the least in the State. It is only 10000INR per year. 40000INR for the whole course. An additional 10000INR per year will have to be paid as University fee. This means on a total, 80000INR for the whole course. If you are a student eligible for scholarship, then the whole amount of 80000INR is reimbursed to you.

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarship is provided by the state government and it varies year by year. At 2013, students who secure below 10000 rank in Eamcet would get full fee waiver. Although the fee is very little i.e 10000INR per year. An additional fee of 9000INR would be collected as University fee but would be reimbursed later under scholarship. Overall, if a candidate is eligible for scholarships, then zero amount is spent from the pocket on the whole. No loan facility was available at my time of admission.

Campus Life

1.5

Gender ratio: it is nearly equal to 1:1 Student parties: The worst of their kind. Only alcohol and a lot of spewing of hate and abuse. Worshops: some decent workshops with some experienced people will be held once a year. Cultural: All students get divided based on caste. Hatred against other groups is common. Bullying on campus is really normal for everyone. Politics: A lot of worse politics exists which only destroys the atmosphere of study.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostels are few and limited. The non-locals get the rooms first. They are overpopulated. Very untidy and foul smelling. The toilets are a real disaster. No cleaniless is followed. The hostel fee is also a very small amount. Nearly 1000INR per month including mess and room charges. However, if the candidate is eligible, then the mess fee and hostel fee are reimbursed.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students have a CASTE feeling. I myself was ragged taken into a hostel room. Not all are this way. But this is really a serious one. You will not be supported by them if you hang out with students of opposite gender. They prey upon the students of opposite gender.

Exam Structure

The exam schedule is in the hands of the students. The student unions protest against the schedule and always postpone it according to their own convenience. Once an exam was postponed due to marriage ceremony of a student's kin. Laboratories are the worst. Stidents have to go to tother colleges and do the lab work. Of which more than half is skipped due to strict time table and least available time. Only the last month of semester is hectic. The start of the semester is always full of holidays.

Admission

Download the allotment letter from the website. Reach the college on the given date. Procure the form at the reception and fill it out. Also produce the certificate verification details. Pay the University fee in the form of a challan at the bank in the premises.

Faculty

1.5

There are only a handful say 3-4 members as part time faculty. There is no HOD as of now to this Department. Also, the teaching is not upto the mark. Which means that the student has to study on his/her own to get qulaified in the exams. To my knowledge, the faculty is qualified but lacks the interest to teach. If they have interest, then they lack methods of teaching. Since 2013 was the first year to have civil in the college, there were no proper arrangements made in the 2 3 years to the students for faculty. The last month of the semester would be very tiring and all subjects were speed up in just that one month. Making it dofficult to both the student and the teacher. The loss was of course to the student where he/she lacked the concept of the subject that would be imparted by slow teaching.

Thhis year it took around 16 students. through coding round, hire vue interview and the hackathon process. I was selected to hackathon but sadly due to communication skills lack, I was not selected as intern , although I passed coding round, hire vue interview and entered hackathon. From 4-1 onwards we get placement oppurtunities like Deloitte, Chubb, oracle, DE Shaw, etc companies visit and offer good package only.
