Remarks
The admission process was smooth, the admissions were done based on either MET (Manipal Entrance Test) or JEE rank or 12th board percentage, I was shortlisted due to my JEE percentile. There are no reservation benefits since it is a private university, there are surely some discounts and other benefits for army-related families, but apart from that, no caste quota is there.
Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to choose this course because I was interested in reading about the communication part as well, and of course, Computer was my forte so I chose Computer and Communication as my branch, faculty to student ratio is quite fair, and the faculty is friendly and approachable. The teaching method is also fair. The exams are held in 3 parts, midterm 1, midterm 2, and then the final mid-term.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities start from the third year of the B.Tech course, Dell comes with the profile of Software developer and a stipend of 25k per month, apart from that few more startup comes with good compensation, ZScaler also comes with compensation of 50k per month as stipend and profile as SDE and DevOps, Dev Test Engineer.
Placement Experience
From the last 3-4 years, the picture has changed drastically, the placements game has leveled up well. The average package for the Btech student is around 7-8LPA, almost 96-97% of students get placed from the campus itself. The highest domestic package is around 56LPA and the top companies which visit our college are Amazon, Microsoft, National Instrument, Barco, ZScaler, JPMorgan, ZS associates, Shell, and many more.
Fees and Financial Aid
If I talk about an average middle-class family, the fees might seem high, the tuition fee has also increased in the last 3 years with a different amount of around 50-70 thousand. The overall cost including the hostel and mess fee would be around 16-17 Lakhs for 4 years. Financial assistance is good here, it is tied up with the SBI bank, so that can also be helpful for the education loan if someone's interested. There are a few scholarships too for the top students, who perform extremely well in college and who performed well in their +2 as well.
Campus Life
The lift at the campus is amazing. I had an amazing college and hostel experience. The hostels are no less than a hotel. Talking about fests, recently we had one of the biggest cultural fests in Rajasthan, which was held in our college and by our college known as OneIros, it is held between the last week of October and the first week of November, and the experience is amazing. The library is nicely filled with all sorts of books which can be accessed easily. There are a lot of clubs as well, like Drama club, music club, dance club, coding club, the culture is really good and you got to learn a lot of things.
Hostel Facilities
The facilities provided are amazing. Every room has its own bathroom. The air conditioning is mandatory and is pre-installed in all the rooms, it is a centralized air conditioning system. Talking about the mess and the food quality, it is good as compared to the other colleges, they keep changing the menu and there are special meals too on the occasion of some festivals. There are a bunch of PGs or hostels too around the hostel area and they are also fairly priced and in good condition.
