Remarks

For BCA the eligibility criteria is 10+2 or its equivalent examination in any stream with at least 50% marks conducted by a recognized Board / University / Council./- INR. You can find the application form on Chandigarh University's website. You can give the entrance test CUCET for availing scholarship.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose BCA just to know about technology and its applications. There are 60 students approx in each section of BCA there are 9 sections. Every subject has its own teacher in my section. Talking about my course faculty, they are mostly master graduates in MTech and mca. The teaching method is good. The syllabus completes on time. About how exams are conducted, there is a choice for attending classes online or offline if you opted online then the exam will be online from wherever you want to give an exam you can give and if you opted offline the exam will be online on the computer but in college.

Fees and Financial Aid

It is a very expensive college. The fees are really high. Talking about my course which is BCA 50,000 per semester. You can give CUCET exam for a scholarship. You can take a loan for financial assistance. Campus job placements are good if you are working hard for the placement you will get it easily.

Campus Life

Campus is really nice. There are students from every part of India and from foreign also. There are many clubs you can join and learn and have fun. The annual fest is named as CU FEST and many tech fests are also conducted. The library is big you can find most of the books you want. Classroom is also huge and has basic amenities. There are so many opportunities in extracurricular activities and sports in which you can participate and enjoy.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is good. But it is not available most of the time. Finding PG around it is also not easy as there are so many students already living nearby. You will find a PG far from college. This is the main concern you will not find accommodate easily.

Placement Experience:

In our college we have the max amount of placement is 45 lakhs which is preety good for the student who got it. For placement they also train us for our communication skills , technical skills, general knowledge skills. They give chance to all the students to give the interview in which the company can interested in us. In the last semesters or last second semesters we can eligible for the placement. The companies visited in our college like MICROSOFT, TCS, AMAZON, GOOGLE, VIPRO, IBM. My plans after getting the degree is that to find the job for in-college placement. In BCA the companies can hier us in 5 lakhs to 10 lakhs package.

Best College in North India

Placement Experience:

I heard a lot about this college as this is the best college in north India for placement, which is true also, but not for mechanical. Only CS and ECE students get placed during campus placement, but wait, it's not that easy as the placement is done along with students of C.G.C Jhanjeri and Chandigarh University. So for every job, there are hundreds of students competing. Placement cells are very friendly and they help a lot during placement time and grooming sessions.

Best Experience

Placement Experience:

1) The students become eligible for placements in their last semester. 2)The companies visited are Microsoft, Tcs and lupin .there are no of offers made by the companies to various students. 3)The highest package is 30lpa and average package is 8lpa and profiles offered are of software engineer, software test engineer, etc. 4)Almost 80 percent of students got placed in every companies. 5)My plan is to do a master degree after my getting the degree.

A journey

Remarks:

Every thing have a good and a bad side in it. Let's take positive first. This university offers a great infrastructure and accommodation facilities. This university can be a heaven for sports lover. There are many clubs where you can show and enhanced your skills. Going through the negative prospective some times food of mess become a threat. And the faculty as I discussed earlier needs to be updated.

A honest review

When I was finalizing my decision, I compared my choosen college with the others on various parameters such as faculty, infrastructure, ratings, reviews, placements and extra curricular activities and co curricular activities and most importantly affordability that is fee structure. I haven't applied to any other colleges other than CU itself. The admission process of my college is eligibility that is you have to pass class 12th for my course bpt. If you opt for masters then you have to present a degree of bachelors for admission. The exam accepted for admission here in cu in cuchd, cuet,etc. if you clear any of these exams with good grades then you can get easy admission here in Chandigarh University. The cut off marks depends on the university itself. But try to score good to get admission here. The overall admission process for me was smooth from starting to the end.
